It's time for the primaries!
You know - the GOOD kind of primaries we ALL agree on - the reds, the yellows and the blues. The nexus of our art universe, in fact!
Today's challenge is to use the primaries, and ONLY the primaries on your project. Here is a cute representation of the primaries
Now, because you are using this wondrous holy trinity of color, you can CREATE other colors on your projects, but your mediums have to be colored ONLY red, yellow or blue.
I used a stencil and my new stencil brushes with Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo to create my background.
Then I repeated that pattern from the stencil in translucent embossing paste on the card base - impossible to see on my first photo, which was taken in bright sunlight.
The only rule is that you have to use more than one type of medium on your project. You can see a sample listing of different types of mediums here.
Thanks for such a fun challenge! I remember being totally scared frozen by a primary colours DTGD challenge the first year I took part, 2008. And I admit that even today my first thought was to use a go-to stamp with circles and squares overlapping which is fun for colour-mix challenges, but I pushed my boundaries out a bit and had a fun time.
Fun challenge! I just tortured myself by stopping by and checking out the challenge! No stamping for me today but maybe at a later date I can play. Love your card and the pretty paste background! Love MariLynn's sample too!
