Hi folks! My name is Holly and I've just joined the Design Team here in the CAS challenge forum. This is my very first challenge, and I decided to do something with my favorite embellishment - GLITTER! I love glitter! LuvLee and I are glitter sisters! :-)
So my challenge to you is to show off your cards with GLITTERY SENTIMENTS.
There are so many ways you can add glittery sentiments.
1 - You can stamp a sentiment, trace it with a clear-drying glue, and sprinkle glitter over it.
2 - You can stamp a sentiment and go over it with a glitter glue such as Stickles.
3 - You can die cut a sentiment, cover it with glue, and then sprinkle glitter on top. Another version of this is to die cut your sentiment and cover it with a glitter glue such as Stickles.
4 - You can die cut a sentiment from doublesided adhesive and cover it with glitter.
5 - You can die cut a sentiment directly from glitter paper, but I don't recommend this as the glittery side up would be in direct contact with a sentiment die and it could damage the cutting edges.
6 - If you really want to challenge yourself, hand-write a sentiment onto your card, trace over it with glue, and cover it with glitter. :-)
1. There is no deadline to play along with the CAS challenges.
2. Take all the time you need to finish and upload your card.
3. Upload your card to your gallery and link back to this thread so we all can see your project.
4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword CAS366 when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
5. Please feel free to combine the CAS challenges with any other challenge.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your project is seen.
The challenges are to provide inspiration and to get us stamping, so have fun and follow your heART. We can't wait to see what you create!
Here's my glittery hello (I don't have a steady hand today as you can tell by the placement of the gems and by the way the hello is filled in!) I haven't used stickles in quite awhile and now know why....I don't have the patience to wait for it to dry!
So i made a semi-glittery sentiment but my crappy photo taking doesn't show it. I stamped the sentiment in black and went over it with Wink of Stella. I think i should talk to the hubby about making a card photo studio ;-)
Great challenge because I had to figure out how to use glitter and still keep the card clean. And I used my heat and stick powder which I think I've only used once before. It was somewhat of a fail, but just going to have to keep practicing!
This one is a lot more involved than most of my CAS cards, but it really was very simple to do, so I think it qualifies...and it definitely has glittery sentiments!!!
This challenge stumped me for a little while. I haven't used glitter on any of my cards needle and wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. Then I watched a scrapbooking show on PBS where they were stamping with acrylic paint and I thought some real fine glitter should stick to that. Thanks for a tough challenge this week!
