Ever do something stupid? LOL
I saw a tutorial on a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to and thought I'd give it a try. I grabbed a precut-prefolded white base and away I went creating the CAS card. Left the craft room for a few minutes and then as I was walking down the hall, I looked in at the new card I had created but now there was some tangerine tango colors on the card. I didn't use tangerine tango on the card I just created! But I did use it on a CAS card from yesterday, which was lying on my craft table with the stamped side down! Wasn't a blank card base I grabbed....it was that card, which now has two fronts! LOL Maybe I'll pretend I did it on purpose to start a new fad!

Everyday and twice on Sunday LOL
Yesterday I needed a piece of paper for something and then realized I had used my Easter card list so I had to print it out again.
When I was sticking a card front postcard to the cards 2 days ago...I realized I put it on wrong direction to the fold. Then I doubled down and tried to peel it back off, ruining it completely instead of just cutting it off.

Thanks for the laugh, Kathy. I read the name of the thread, and thought, "Yeah, pretty much every day lately." I've done both the things you and wavejumper posted, and more than once!

Yes, too many to name! Every time there is a thread like this I smile and say "Me, too."
My favorite that somebody posted a while back is that she labored very hard to make an elaborate, fancy wedding card, lots of layers, embellishments, etc.
When it was finished, she admired it, opened it, and signed her name - and spelled her own name WRONG!

Ha, me too. And speaking of wedding cards....I had made one awhile back for a wedding coming up at the end of Feb. I was so proud of myself that I had it all done ahead of time. I took it out the other day and looked at it and could not believe that I had NOT noticed that when I taped the front layer on that it was crooked. I did not know whether to laugh or cry. I was dumbfounded that I hadn't noticed it until now. So, I still have to make another card before Feb. 29th!

On topic: iI was going to say of course not...but that thought alone was stupid....lol

Undu looks like a liquid, how do you get that between layers without damaging them, leaving them wet?

It's magic somehow. I've used it to get labels off file folders- the label gets wet, the file folder gets wet, the label comes off - then everything dries really fast and you can't tell it was ever wet (even the inkjet print on the label didn't smear). Then sticky on the back of the label even restickifies.

Do you mean when you over think something , like painting a Kaiser Craft tool box with 2 coats of paint and then realizing that tab A wont fit into tab B due to the paint? But part of our creative minds is we think how to fix things and do it.
Muscrat can you cut the card apart and glue each to a new base?

"Ever do something stupid?"
Are we talking today? I've been up only 1.5 hours. Give me 10 more minutes.
Oh, wait, I don't need the ten minutes. This morning I put my EMPTY iced-coffee container into the refrigerator and I left the half & half on the counter.
In my defense, I was tired and I hadn't had my morning half-caff yet!

I've used the microwave to remove things from cards. Someone on a thread here some time ago posted that it could be done. Just microwave for a few seconds, check, do some more if it doesn't work, etc.
I recall being pretty pleased with the results.
But, to answer your question - I'm only now getting to the point where I've pretty much stopped attaching my card fronts upside down. I've trained myself to check. It took a long time to train me, though.

urm All the time is my response.... the list is endless...finding the tv remote in the fridge, stamping on the back of card that is ready to be mailed, adding stamped image to a card the wrong way up, misspelling words in my greetings, writing the wrong persons name in a card, on a envelope....

The undu is amazing and NEVER ever damages your card. It drys in just a few minutes and you cant tell it was there. It doesnt warp your card either.

So I have to share the stupid thing I did last night… I had a nail that had split a bit too far back and every time I bumped it it hurt so I thought maybe I would put some super glue on it and that would keep it from tearing more. So I dropped a larger than expected drop of superglue on it and went to wipe the excess off with a paper towel and somehow managed to glue my left hand thumb to the underside of my right hand middle finger. Egads; I quickly found my nail polish remover and of course it was Acetone free… So I have to do an internet search for what else might work. (It is harder to type with your hands glued together than one might think) I found a site that suggested soaking in soap water (didn't work) then one that said DOT brake fluid worked immediately. So I couldn't put my jacket on..hehe so I draped it over me to go out to the barn and get the brake fluid, even opening the door was a challenge… Found the brake fluid and it actually worked (not instantly, but within a couple of minutes). You should have seen me, I probably could have made funniest videos or candid camera. These kinds of things just seem to happen to me, so I take it in stride and just have to laugh at myself sometimes.

LOL I am dangerous with super glue. I would have thought that Exacto knives would be my nemesis. But I have a healthy respect for them.
I was super gluing magnets to the bottom of Stickles so i could hang them upside down. I glued a magnet to my cutting pad. It was there until I got a new one.

Um Yup! I've done something stupid that I was dying of laughter hubby thought I was crying with the tears running down my face.
I was at one time when the dollar was good, in a swap. I'm in Canada. I finished all my cards and mailed the package.
A week later my mail woman told me I had an interesting package with a grin on her face. It turns out that I used the return envelope for the swap and mailed it back to myself. However here's the funny part...at the time we were able to send a stamp return envelope with US stamps if we were able and I was. So not only did I send it back to myself and the back of the pkg it said undeliverable invalid postage. I thought how the mail woman must of had a good laugh after that lol...
OMG! I died of laughter. hahahahaa

Funny, funny thread. Let's keep it up!
I did almost the same thing you did, 2busy scrappin. I was returning something to Amazon, and used the label inside the package which was addressed to me, instead of the return label.
I felt so virtuous that I was getting it done and not waiting too late to return it. I took the package all the way to the UPS store. In a few days, a package showed up at my house. I was so surprised, and thought, "Oh my goodness, what did I buy and forgot about?"
Yes, my "returned" package. I got to pay shipping twice on that one!

I made a card for my brother yesterday, when I looked at it today the topper was on crooked. I could have just given it to him, I don't suppose he would have noticed but it bugged me, so i got my little craft scraper out and dug underneath and scraped the foam tape apart, took the topper off and got rid of the tape residue and re-attached it. Looked fine when i left it earlier - unless it has mysteriously gone crooked again while on its own!

Okay, I have some for you… I am 6' tall and it happens that my jeans pockets seem to be just the right height to catch the end of stairwell banisters. Nothing like trying to step up and being yanked back down a step… sometimes I catch my pockets on drawer or cabinet handles. I have also done the banister end with my purse.
Have you ever rolled your hair up in the power window?
In my closet, our folded shirts lie below my husbands suits. Occasionally (okay, all the freakin time), I bend over to grab a shirt and my hair somehow manages to tangle around the button at the end of his suit sleeve. I have the worst time trying to detach myself from it! [I recently solved this issue by moving his suits to the spare room closet; his job now doesn't require a suit]
One more, for grins…. My sister and I went to the same college. I was just leaving my last class of the day when I see my sister at the end of the hall and I wait for her to get down to me. When she does, she tells me to turn around. I do, and she proceeds to rip the repeated size tape strip off the back of the leg of my new jeans. I can't believe no one told me in any of my classes; my only hope is that because I was sitting on it most of the time no one noticed (yeah, right). [This is just one reason that I now wash all new clothes before wearing].

Gina, I'm not tall but I can sympathize about getting caught on stuff. Its usually my purse strap on the front screen door handle. And I have this habit of flipping my glasses up onto the top of my hrpead so I can read close up. When I do that I get hair caught in the side arms and have to untangle it to get my glasses off my head!

I think I'm getting a bald spot from losing hair tangled up in my glasses ... feel slightly better that it isn't just me.
And I'm short but the tabs on my jeans frequently get caught on the kitchen drawer pulls (horizontal rods ... not knobs).

I definitely am getting bald spots from my hair getting ripped out by my glasses. I dont know why I dont just get one of those chain holders. I could make one. I have for other people.
As I use cheaters a lot...I have been known to have one on my shirt collar (I wear tshirts a lot around the house) where I usually stick them to avoid going bald, and one on my head anyway from habit.
I have put my sunglasses on top of the readers on my head and then cant find the readers.
Ok so here's one for older people....
One day years ago, I am at work, and I hear this beeping. So I am walking around the small office I was in and everywhere I went, I heard it. I thought it might have been the backup bar for the computers and when my very tough boss called in, I mentioned it. So he said he would come back to the office. Meanwhile...the UPS driver came and I asked him to walk around with me and tell me where it was coming from and he couldnt either.
Well, I suddenly realized what it was. It was my beeper! It hardly ever went off and I had forgotten about it! I really only had it for emergencies for my mom. It wasnt one-I dont remember what it was now. No wonder it was every where I was! I usually had it on vibrate not beep. So I turned it off and when my boss came in, I just said it stopped. He was not amused. I said the UPS driver had heard it too so I wasnt crazy. He checked the electronics and huffed around the rest of the day. That was a close one. If he was in the right mood he could have just fired me. He was a hot head. He did ask the driver the next time he saw him and he confirmed it.
Of course this is the same boss who wanted to call the cops b/c a would be thief stole a pack of tissues out of his pocket one day instead of his wallet. I said dont do that. NYC cops wont like it. He insisted he was robbed and they should catch that guy. I stopped him. He wasnt from the US. I had to explain as a pack of tissues is worth about a quarter...they would get pretty ticked off. Many criminal laws are value based (I am not saying that's right). He was outraged. Once I knew he was alright I had to keep from laughing as he bopped around carrying on about his tissues. It felt like a Monty Python skit with his accent.

I'd be curious myself Kathy.
On my wishlist is a big magnifier swing arm with a light like jewlery people use that clips on to your worktable. Anyone using one of those?
All the better to see myself attach something upside down! Bwahahaha
You know, between
-the stupid factor
-the drop it and crawl around for an hour looking for it
-clutz factor (knock your soda over on 10 completed cards)
-being interrupted by people who think getting fed is important or whatever else
It's amazing I get any cards done at all! LOL
I did just take the 20 yr old plastic attachment for my drafting table off that held pens or whatever (far more whatever)...it's old, discolored, and yucky. I think I will leave it off and put on a cup holder and have space for that swing arm. Hmm... I can get a spinner for the desk supplies that were in it. Yeah, why am I soaking that thing in the tub anyway???

Kathy, my best friend just bought the flip-ups, put them on a pair of reading glasses, decided they worked fine, and now can't find either item.
And gljordan? You win!

Thanks Linda, I think… Oh, and I have more. My mom always said there was a reason she didn't name me "Grace". Alright Lydia, spill it, you have to have some great stories too, if we were really separated at birth…
