Today is my mother's birthday. I wanted to do a challenge that honors her. She loves all kinds of flowers. So my challenge is to make a project using Birth-month flowers. This chart shows the traditional flowers for corresponding months.
JANUARY- CARNATION
FEBRUARY- VIOLET
MARCH- DAFFODIL
APRIL- SWEET PEA
MAY- LILY OF THE VALLEY
JUNE- ROSE
JULY- LARKSPUR
AUGUST- GLADIOLUS
SEPTEMBER- ASTER OR FORGET ME NOT
OCTOBER- MARIGOLD
NOVEMBER- CHRYSANTHEMUM
DECEMBER-POINSETTIA
I decided to do February's flower: Violets.
Here are a couple of links for ideas for violets:

I made a video of the paper flowers I made.

I chose June roses to match the old fashioned rose in my paper. I tried something new on the book page rose, nail polish on wire for the stamen. I should have made the twists a little wider to get the full effect. Here's my card.

Was in the hospital on Friday getting a procedure - so this is a bit late for the MIX challenge.
Michele you have a WONDERFUL gallery, and the very first card gave me this inspiration. Congrats!!
