IC531 - Nail Art {02-06-16}
Pull out your vanity table and chair...we're about to get super girly in here! This weeks inspiration challenge board is a "Nail Art Pinterest Board". I can't believe what people are doing on nails these days (LOL)! You should have seen me making 'nail masks' and trying out some of the fun nail art techniques on my own nails! Conclusions: in some cases it turned out awesome, and in others...well you know how it is sometime; trial and error and thank goodness for nail polish remover! (LOL) I can't wait to try with Gel Polish! In any event, I was thrilled by all of the wonderful inspiration I found on our inspiration board, all of which would definitely work for paper arts....like cards, books, and scrapbook pages too. I really had to control myself! So, being that there are over a thousand pins on this board, I've uploaded 15 of my favorite images below in case you don't like Pinterest, or just have not subscribed. Ok, so you know the drill....please take the challenge and try something NEW this week, and then let everyone see what 'nail art' can do for YOUR creative projects and techniques! (FYI: I had to post a little earlier than normal since I have to work tonight, but please don't hesitate to get started.) Enjoy!
My CAS Stationery Card
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the site reminds you of it - this is all about creating from an inspiration. :cool: So, please take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the "Nail Art Pinterest Board". Also, your card might also end up on my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board if it shows signs of deep inspiration! (smiles)
If you are unfamiliar with how to grab the hyperlinks from a Pinterest Board, here is a helpful video:
Use the keyword: IC531 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
IC531 Gallery
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 15 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.

Super fun pintrest site, Ms. Audrie. I'm hopeful something in the midst of all that wonderful nail art will be just the spark I need to unleash some creativity. Thanks for the challenge.

goodness, Audrie, you really pinned some inspiration with all the nail art tonight.
Come have a look at a bubble blowing mermaid. She's got lots of room for scale art!
Thank you for all you do to inspire us each week.

Went with a snowbird image, with reds and greens- did some "nail painting" with red for my reverse cut hearts and added some patterned fabric strips to spice it up a bit. Here's Berry Lunch

Hi Audrie, thanks for this inspiration...It is so funny, I can NOT wear nail polish anywhere where I can easily get to it...my hands, because it will not last a day without me picking it off completely! I don't know why! But there were some of the most beautiful and some of the most, dare I say, ugliest nails I've ever seen on that board...to each her own eh?

Try gel
They don't clip so you would have a real battle to pick them off. 1 gel treatment lasts like two weeks without any change except nail growth line at the bottom...I love how it looks while I am typing or white boarding at work smiles. So, I bet you'd like gel. P.S. your card is gorgeous!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU, Audrie!!! I haven't made a card since December, and this challenge was EXACTLY the kick my mojo needed to remind me that I do, indeed, still enjoy this hobby. FORTY PINS later, I finally narrowed it down and made this: Hole Hearted. The others are saved in a folder on my desktop to execute another day (or later today - who knows?). Thanks again - great challenge, great inspiration board!

What a fun site, Audrie! I hardly ever wear polish, usually for special occasions-wedding, shower, etc. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year, and like Robin, I pick, peel, and scratch it off. Here is my card, thank you Audrie, and thanks all for taking a peek.
