You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
I like to provide a diversity of inspiration from all over the world for you. Joining me this week as our Guest Hostess is the very talented Anne Ryan! Anne has been inspiring all of us with her beautiful gallery since early 2008. She has graciously chosen the China Online Museum website as our inspiration site, and it is full of marvelous inspiration! I will have to play again with you on Saturday because there was so many images to inspire me there! Website Tips: Feel free to be inspired by any image on our inspiration website. However, I found the "painting" section to be the easiest for browsing and grabbing hyperlinks. You do not have to enter your email to browse the site. Just click behind any windows asking you to log-in, or to provide your email address.
Challenge Goals: Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the site reminds you of it - this is all about creating from an inspiration. So, please take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the China Online Museum website. Also, your card might also end up on my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board if I perceive an exceptional artistic relationship between your artwork and the inspiration piece!
Use the keyword: IC530 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 5 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
Another interesting challenge for the IC this week, Audrie. And Anne is the perfect choice to inspire us with her beautiful and CAS style. Can't wait to see the gallery.

I had a difficult time getting inspired today. I'm not a big fan of Chinese art (exception - their beautiful gardens). I finally found a painting with a waterfall. Keeping in mind the vertical flow of the water and the color combination I created a framed card. Here is my card

Audrie- such a stunning site for inspiration! I went with the hand painted eco-friendly purses with their neutral colors and used SU's A Happy Thing for my images. Added a wooden butterfly for my splash of color, and a gold patterned tie to finish my tag. Here's Happy Bird
