WT566-Our little corner of the world(01-14-16)
Hello fellow stampers, Linda here with your challenge this week. The wonderful thing about SCS community is the inspiration, we share with everyone. Another fact that is very interesting...we are all located in many parts of the world. This week, let's depict something from where we live on our card. It's a wide open challenge.....just share some facts about your little corner of the world. Have fun

My hometown has a lot going for it - and one of the things that is fun is the War Eagle Mill. Some history and events that are there is listed on the back of the card- this is what it says: A little bit of history:
War Eagle Mill, Arkansas. War Eagle Mill is a working gristmill in Benton County, Arkansas. A mill has been located on the site as early as 1832, but was destroyed three times, and last rebuilt in 1973. The mill currently operates as an undershot gristmill, and houses a store and restaurant. The mill is located approximately 10 miles east of the city of Rogers in War Eagle, Arkansas.
An Added Note by Jan Leslie:
It is a popular place that host craft shows many times a year. Crafters flock to this spot from all over the United States to show their unique talents and crafts. Among the crafts are; Wood Carvers; Leather Crafts; Glass Blowers; Metal Pieces and Tools; Quilts & Afghans; Sweets and so much more!
There is a mill store; where they sell their own grain they mill. There is a restaurant on sight as well. The bridge gives the water underneath a beautiful view of the waterfalls and scenery. It is a fun place for the whole family!!
What a wonderful challenge!

I made this card last night, and am entering it in this challenge because we live in Michigan on a few acres of land and this is what it looks like outside our windows this time of year. Oh, and that's my little grandson pulling his dog on the sled : ) I'm going to make another card, too, so as not to cheat!

WT566 Dragon Grateful
Linda- awesome challenge! Washington where I live is known for its coffee- I used a red coffee sleeve from Woods Coffee- think it is because it's cooler and grayer here. Used some holiday foliage as we are always green due to rain. Going towards Central Washington, we have great apple crops, that are shipped around the U.S.- and for some, our medieval fairs (explains the dragon). Here's Dragon Grateful

I've been an urban girl my whole life, but we've lived the last 10 years in North Central Indiana with the last 5 in a small, rural town. I've really grown to love the beauty of this farm country! I often take shots from my car as I'm driving because it is just so pretty. Here's one that inspired my drawing today.

it's been forever since i posted to SCS. Thanks for being here. Living in the Northern Highlands of WI near the highest point in the state which we embarrassingly call a mountain, it was appropriate to post a snowman with all the white stuff that seems to make its home here. jkt gifted snowman by janeenk - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Charm of the Texas Coast
Here is my card depicting part of my little town, which has been selected by USA Today as one of the best small coastal towns. Rockport Texas! We stumbled upon this place while vacationing in Texas about 5 years ago. We were just out driving around and happened up on it. We vacationed in the area 3-4 times a year and always made our way back to this town.
There are many things to do here besides go to the beach. We have a Maritime museum, art center, aquarium, a very interesting history center all of which are free to enjoy! Lots of things for boaters, birders, artists, and photographers! There is a year round heated pool and a skate park, and a very interesting downtown with ONLY stores run by real people, not some big company! Very unique items to be found here. Moving here has allowed me to live my dreams which would never have happened had I not moved here. I have lived here a little over a year, and my cards are recognized by the community as ART, and my photography has gotten me a place in the history center as a photographer, I am also often published in the local online magazine, with lots of my bird pictures and my ocean photos. I once sent a photo to my son, and told him never in Kentucky could I have taken a photo of deer and ships in the same photo!
Here is my card, which will most likely be sold as soon as I offer it.
