I'm SO glad you decided to come out of the closet. LOL (don't throw tomoatoes at me, it's late here...) I'm glad you found us! I LOVE Jan's work and am glad she told you about this wonderful website. I just joined SU last month and have only been a serious stamper for about 3 months, but have been accumulating EVERYTHING under the sun since I just signed up. I still have a LONG way to go before I have a considerably sized collection of stamps, since most of my stamps are already retired. I was a stamp collector before I began stamping. Make sense?
Now I'm a hard core stamper & just learning to scrapbook.
I can't wait to see what creation's you will post. I will try to watch for them, but you might want to post here that you've just posted something so we can all go over to the gallery and oogle over it and give you a thumbs up on a scale of 1-10.
Enjoy your time here and I have a suggestion for you...Why don't you buy yourself another computer, then you'll have one of your very own to spend ALL the time you want at SCS. LOL
Happy stampin and hug filled days to ya!
Cindy

Welcome Jami... is that your name? How do you pronounce it? Like Cami with a "J" or like Jamie? Just wondering.... I was calling Beate (is pronounced like Miata) Beety in my head for months!
Anyway, welcome to the our little (well, maybe not so little for some) addicting corner of the web! We've got cha now!!!
Jami - Glad you found us! I hope you'll post some of your art and jump into the discussion fray. Oh, and a picture, too!!! This is the best site I've ever seen, you'll learn anything you want to know. My only warning is that if you're afraid of clowns, be careful in the Gallery!
Ka-ching! I'm keeping track of the amount of stampers I get addicted to SCS! Welcome aboard...I suffered withdrawals while in Kalamazoo, since I didn't dare jump on my MIL's PC more than a couple times a day, plus I had to fix it since it was running slower than molasses! I finally got it all straightened out, then I came home! :P
So glad to be back in my own bed, in my house that doesn't heat up like a tin can! Back to my stamping studio and my beloved SCS whenever I feel like signing on, though can't do it too much with DH using my computer to edit his new website, so I'm feelin' your pain, Jami!
Welcome to the craziest website out there! You'll learn many things........stamping techniques being the least of them!! You'll learn all about reviving a skunk (just in case you ever need to), how to make Beer Butt Chicken, and several other crazy things that only "we" share!!
You're going to have a ball. We're so glad you've joined us!!!

Welcome aboard Jami. You have entered the world of the greatest and most artistic women in the world. Yes, we all suffer from withdrawals when we can't get on this site, but boy is it great to be back when we can. We look forward to seeing your artistic expressions.
I can't believe that I posted a comment, but forgot to login. So the message you see that is signed Sandy is really from me. Duh, what the heck was I thinking. See how crazy it can be. I was so excited to get on this site, I totally forgot to login. Hopefully, that won't happen again. Welcome aboard once again Jami.
Thank you all so much for the incredibly warm welcome! It was so exciting to get up this morning and read your replies. I am by no means a morning person and had to have some coffee before I could write back :? I'm still figuring out how things work on this site...like this is my first "reply" I'm really looking forward to being involved in discussions. I've already gotten so much great info here...not to mention chuckles!!! Here's one thing I can't figure out...how did all of you get to me before Jenn???? She must be sleeping in - lol!!!!!! You can tell I've been lurking for awhile!

Cindy,
My DH (engineer, computer wizard, webmaster) has wanted me to get my own computer for a long time, but I always wanted to "share". I think SCS may push me over the edge, but how do I tell him he's RIGHT???? lol

Cambria -
Jami rhymes with Amy - thanks for asking! I just can't type it with the "e' - childhood trauma - lol. I was born before the Bionic woman and there weren't many girls named Jami (with any spelling)...more boys used it for James. My auntie said boys spell it with an "e", thus my "feminine" version
Beate is a tough one!!! I was glad to see her give pronunciation when I was very new to the site. I practice in my head whenever I see her post! Silly, huh? :P
Thanks again for referring me to this site. I saw one of your postings on Stampin' Discuss. I admire your work and appreciate all your helpful posts. I have to admit I haven't been over there nearly as much since I found SCS!!!!!
I'm in Lakewood (between Long Beach and Cerritos - if that helps). I'd love to join any stamp-fest. Can you point me to the details - or is it still in the works?

Oh MY! What a reputation I have! By no means am I the welcome wagon, though I do try to say hi when I have a moment! I'm in Texas, and on CST. I went to bed at 10:30 last night, and checked in at about 6:30 my time. So there was a HUGE window of opportunity there!
I do have a day job and a family that both pull me from here from time to time. My kids know that if they see me going to use "their" bathroom in the hall, I'm just detouring to the office to check here!
Welcome from me, too. I don't have the technology to upload anything, and am too green to be ready, so I'm happy to "meet" you. Also, I'm shy but hard to shut up too, so I can relate. Since I have an eye infection, which I whined about here the other day, I can't stay on long so you're safe! Enjoy your new addiction. --Yours in cyber-IcantstampImtoobusyreadingSCS-space, Wendy
All of you fabulous ladies just made my day with such a warm welcome!!! I came straight to the computer when I got home from work. I was able to get on the site and read, but then I couldn't get any pages to load and I couldn't post a reply :( We went to an Irish concert in the park nearby with friends and now I'm back. Thanks again to all of you!!!
Jenn - I see we have something besides stamping in common...medical billing! I am the collection supervisor for a medical billing office :o I just don't know how you do it...f/t job, SU business, kids, creative stamping and scs...I don't even have kids and I have trouble keeping up with all that other stuff!!!!! Thanks for the welcome and for your work on the site!
Special thanks to all the people that make this site work! Great job! (Is that like an alcoholic thanking Budweiser? )
Here is some info on the get together in September! Hope to see you there......
Thanks. I'll post to that thread also. I hope I can make it. I have a few other friends who might be interested - 2 or 3 other demos and my sil (my best customer )
