Woohoo, it's time for another year of pulling out and giving those stamps that have never been inked (or rarely inked) some "love" :-)
If you would like to let us know what stamp(s) you plan to use ahead of time, and post each week or month in this forum, that is great! Or, if you are like me and do not get inspired until the actual design process, no problem-it will still be fine with us!
We just love seeing what you create with your unused stamps, so please add the keyword USEIT2016 to your gallery post and, if you have time, link here in this forum as well so we can admire your artwork...
Thanks for joining in with us and we are looking forward to seeing your creations in 2016- hugs!!
I can't believe a whole year has gone by already! Okay, definitely going to make more cards than I did this year. Which won't be hard, seeing how few I made. lol
I know- the year flew by for me as well!! I did use quite a few never before stamped sets this past year and this year I plan to keep better track of what I use so I can review my progress.
I have so many new (but never used stamps) plus older sets that may have only seen ink once or I am ashamed to say, not at all- I will not run out of stamps to use, that is for sure!!
I have enjoyed viewing all of your creations as well as the "chatter"- have a blessed New Year week, my friends!
Hah! I could probably make a card a day for the rest of my life with the stamps I already own that have never been inked. Okay, for the next 10 years at least, for sure.
awesome group to find...thanks for the link Pam/grateful2bsaved! I am so sad at the end of every catty to see how many stamps I "had to have" which had never been mounted (or stickered now that we have clear mount) let alone used!
I will look forward to attempting to use some of the still current for another week stamps from the Holiday Mini and also work on showing some "inky love" to untouched and lonely sets from the big book since we all know that the NEW annual catty will be here in the twinkling of an eye!
Welcome Jan, this is my situation as well!! I have been a SU! demo (and my main customer) since 1999 and since I bought what I thought I would love (been enabled on a few sets over the years), I have kept all of the sets and have many that are still unmounted, etc.
I am trying to be more selective when I purchase going forward for sure! Can't wait to see your creations and so glad that you are joining in this year- hugs!
I have been trying to make better decisions buying stamps, but I procrastinated buying a couple of things from the holiday catalog & now they aren't available. :(
Misti- I am so sorry to hear that they are not available and fully understand...I am so disappointed that SU! is not carrying the mini catalog items until the end of the sales period...what were you trying to purchase?
Sami- Welcome!! This is a fun group and we are not judgmental at all...please share and do not be intimidated :-) We would love to see your creations!
What a great idea! Like some other posters on this thread, I'm an SU demo who buys for myself and then sometimes struggles to use what I've bought. I now leave the new things out where I can see them (and they annoy the OCD side of me), and I don't let myself put them away in the right place until either I've used them or it's been a ridiculously long time and I admit that I won't be using them just yet.
A challenge like this just might be enough to give me that push I need!
I think I'm "in" and going to involve my "fun club" ladies, too, since many of them have been acquiring stamps for years. BUT I may not start until next month (February) since between now and next Friday, I have to kit for the fun club (Saturday Morning) kit for the senior center (Tuesday), create the entire "Enjoy the Little Things" project kit and make a display out of it, AND pack for 3 weeks in Florida.
My first set will be . . . I dunno. I've still got 12 (count 'em) 12! current sets I haven't done anything at all with.
Woohoo!! Look out stamping world, the USEIT2016 group is about to stamp our hearts out this year!!
Welcome Stampnatter and LindaBabe!! So excited that you are joining in with us this year and again, fully understand about having so many uninked stamps:-)
Trust me, I organized my stamps again this week and re-arranged my craft area and I have so many stamps that have not seen ink, it is truly shameful...and I just received a MFT order today!! So hard to resist those 70% off sales- help, I need an intervention- lol!!!
I was able to situate my dresser full of stamps in a better position so I can open the drawers without re-injury to my shoulder (another story) plus I can now open the map chest file cabinet full of stamps in those drawers as well...access has been a bit of an issue for me:-) Now, I have no excuse not to use all of my stamps...
Hugs to all of you and Happy New Year's Eve/New Year!!
I have a few things I want from MFT, but they are out of stock of a couple of things so I keep telling myself I have to wait until they are all in stock. I've been able to stay strong... but I might not be able to for much longer! LOL
I am back again for 2016 even though I got a bit of track last 2 months. I am going to post my first card for this year used a current Stampin Up set I have had for a while but never used. I also rarely use glossy paper so was glad to be able to use up some supplies. Happy New Year everyone. Abstract Birthday by gosh2fly - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I would like to join in this year. I'm primarily a scrapbooker, but I also make cards. My goal is to use more of my stamps on my scrapbook pages. I know I'm missing out on a lot of their versatility by just using them on cards.

Janet, Brenda and Liz- so glad that you are joining us as well!! Brenda- I agree, stamps are wonderful for scrapbook pages for sure- hugs to you all and Happy New Year!
OMG! I have so many SU sets that I've not used yet! I belong to a monthly card group and so I'm always buying them because I like the look of them and then forget to use them when they come in! I'm really hoping to use each set I have at least 1x this year!

Wonderful idea and looking forward to seeing your creations- you are not alone and so glad that you are joining in! Hugs!!
Wow, your boxes are adorable!! I bought the Wonderful Wreath bundle and Peaceful Wreath and have not inked either yet...you have encouraged me to do so!! Thanks for sharing :-)
Off to a great (for me) start. After a long day at the beach yesterday, 6 yr. old DS and I made a quick thank you card for his Grandma (who send birthday and Christmas money). He chose the image, paper and colors all by himself. I helped him a bit with the matting. Then he chose the sentiment from a few I showed him. That meant we inked stamps from TWO never before inked stamps. We used SU Monster Mania and SU One Big Meaning. Yay!
I don't know WHY my pictures come out sideways lately. They're not that way on my desk top. They've been doing this ever since I got my new phone. I so hate new phones.
Okay, that's weird. I double clicked on the image in my post, and it shows up the correct way.
Pam, your card is adorable and extra points for using two stamp sets that have never seen ink- lol!!
What a wonderful memory you are creating with your son as well as the thankful attitude that he is showing to his Grandmother- a memory that all of you will cherish for sure!
Ok, I have two cards that I created this weekend incorporating never before inked images- the first card uses the Definitely Dahlia background that I have owned for months now and the second card uses the deer silhouette image from SNSS Landscape Silhouettes stamp set (I have inked other images in this stamp set but never the deer and tree image) :-)
Eeekk! There are lots of tempting goodies being posted from CHA. I'm challenging myself to use at least 5 un-inked stamps before buying anything new. (Maybe I need to do this every month. )

Misti- I love this idea!!
I have already seen some amazing products and know that it will only be more tempting as new items are unveiled...even some of the items that I do not have already are calling out my name...I put them in the shopping carts, then at the last minute "save" for later or add to my "wishlist"- I am trying to not spend any more $$ this month- lol!!
Maybe if I adopt your idea, I will either stamp more with what I have and realize I do not need any more new stamps :-)
