You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
How many times have you started your day with, today is______ s birthday. I wish Id remembered to send a card. Or are you scrambling last minute to just get one made?
With the All Occasion Card Challenge, you can put all that behind you!
Each month around the 20th, well remind you to look at your card recipient list for the coming month.
WHO: Everyone that needs cards for b-days, anniversaries, get well....you know-anything.
WHAT: A way to get those card needs met ahead of time so you aren't scrambling at midnight to finish before next days event...(yeah, I know I've seen you there with me) There is no score keeping here! It's all for you and helping you stay motivated. Just look ahead to coming month and see what you need. then challenge yourself to get them done using our challenges or not. some months you may need 10 b-day cards and the next month none. whatever you need for coming month is what you do. For instance; some months I don't have any events and plan to do cards for the stash that I have trouble making at last minute like get well and sympathy cards.
WHY:To relieve stress! This way youll have cards for all your events made ahead!! We all know how busy life can be, so why not try to get your cards all done by the end of current month instead of night before! Remember, the whole idea behind this challenge is to make your life easier. we can all use that, right?
WHERE: First upload to your gallery then post a link in the designated thread. Please use AOCC15 in the Title or Keyword so that others can search for your cards! Please use only the thread that I start for each month or you might be missed, and we want y'all to get plenty of lovin for being such good overachievers.
To attach a link here, when the page you want us to go see is open, go to the address bar and 'copy the whole thing' then go to where you want it seen and paste it in the post box. If you need instructions for this check the attached PDF file drawn up by Vikki or PM me for further assistance.
WHEN: The whole month! There is no 'deadline' for getting your monthly cards done. This is just a motivational challenge to help you!
HOW: Just post a reply to this thread saying that you want to join and then start creating! Make your cards any way you like. Any tools, toys, gadgets, embellishments, etc...you decide- after all, these are YOUR cards.
Remember: with postal changes, mail may take a bit longer. Mailing within the first week of the month will help insure they have their card in plenty of time to enjoy it. Obviously, if their occasion is within that first week, youll want to mail earlier.
CHALLENGES:
There will be a challenge posted once a month. It will be posted in the second post of each separate month, and also in the main AOCC15 thread. (this one) You may use the challenge, or not, in your card designs. They are just to get the mojo going.
POSTING YOUR CARDS:
Because this is a challenge group, it is encouraged that you post a link to your gallery where everyone can leave you LOVINS, in the appropriate thread for each month.

It's January 20th already. Are we all up to date with our cards? Time to finish the remaining cards for this month. I'm off to the January thread to spread some more encouragement.

Great to have you active again Chris!
It's almost 2/3 of the way through this month. It's time to get the rest of your cards for this month mailed, and linked to the March thread. I'm afraid I am remiss at doing so myself. Life seems to be getting in the way. Tomorrow is International Happiness Day, so lets all smile and decide to be happy!

Thank you for the welcome back and for all you, and fellow hostesses, do to keep these threads running for the likes of me  Just so you know I have a smile on my face and am ready to have a 'happy day'. Wishing all my fellow crafters the same .....
Ladies, we don't have a lot of participation in this challenge and my time seems to be at a premium these days, so I was wondering about continuing this thread. What do you think......should we discontinue it, combine it with the S2S challenges, or would someone else like to host this next year?

Hi Ina, I put my hand up as a slacker on this thread .... It did give me the impetus to make my cards but things just got hectic round here and they didn't make it onto my gallery ...
So sorry for not following through but my huge thanks for all your hard work and encouragement with this thread
Your time is precious so whatever you decide is OK with me. Will check out the other thread you mentioned.
All the very best
There is also a 4th option, that we just carry on as we have been doing and I will continue it. It's not a lot of work, once it is set up at the beginning of the year. I just like to keep up with the cards posted and make encouraging comments on them.
Chris, I am glad this has helped you.

Ina
I'm with Chris on this one. If you would like to combined it with another challenge I'm happy to look at that one. I know these things eat into our time and so understand totally. Thanks for your hard work. I have been following this challenge for a couple of years now and have always enjoyed participating but if it's run it's course than so be it.
Thanks again

Good news! Kelly (SrappinCEO) has kindly offered to take this over again. She was the 'leader of the pack' until she got too busy two years ago. She said she would work on the AOCC16 threads in the near future.

She's not only joining.........she will be the big kahuna! I'd best get off the computer and make a birthday card for my friend and former neighbour. 65th party for her at noon tomorrow!

What a star you are Kelly ...
Thanks again Ina for all your hard work and the lovely comments you left for us ... I will try my best for next year because it really did help me get the cards made ... I just need to be more organised about loading them onto my gallery
Hey all!
Sorry I've been absent from here the past couple of years. I just really did not have a place to create. The OCD in me would not let me create through chaos or just anywhere. I now have a shiny new office/ studio and can't wait to put my toys back to work.
I'm looking forward to being a part of y'all again. I spent time with coffee this morning, marking my planner with notes to post the monthly reminders. Our first reminder will post in the new thread (link to come later tonight) on December 28th. Not a lot of time to think about the January Birthday/ Anniversaries but let's enjoy the holidays. :-D
