Default Hello!

Hi there, I'm new here. In fact I'm not just new here, I'm new to stamping. I've bought a small amount of stamps to get me started. Shame I forgot to buy coloured ink pads... oh dear, great start lol

Hi Lindabridge! Welcome to the forum. I happened to be scrolling by and thought I'd stop and welcome you.

Maybe you might post to the general forum and get some advice on which ink pads are good for what you want to do before you buy. We all have our favorites and we love to share. Say what kind of stamps you've already got and you'll get lots of suggestions. ;)

I started out on this forum three years ago new to stamping myself. I live in a rural area and stamp alone. I've never been to a class or a swap. So I honestly can say that this website has been my prime source of information. People here are incredibly generous and will patiently answer any question you might ever have.

Again, welcome!

Robin (Rachelrose)

Welcome in .
It's easy to look at what everyone else has and think you need it all - but I'd say for the first two years after I started, black ink and Versamark (clear, for heat embossing) were the only two coloured inks I had. And then I bought some small ColorBox inks so that I could start sponging the edges of cards, and it grew from there!!!
I'm sure you'll enjoy your stamping journey and find, as Robin has said, loads of help and information here.

Hi Lindabridge and welcome from New Zealand! How exciting that you are getting into stamping - it is so much fun! Have fun exploring the forum and do ask if you have any questions.

Linda, I'm with Cook22. For years (more than 2 here), I started out with black and versa mark for embossing. Also, I didn't invest in costly markers until this year. I used Marvy brush markers for years. Like Cook, I got the Colorbox here and there. Actually, I got them on clearance and that built my color pallet up. I too, mainly use them for edging and distressing with Tim's!!

Welcome to the stamping community!! Take it easy on your wallet. You don't have to fill your area with tons of colors right now. Heck, I still mainly use black. I have a ton of colors that I never use. I do have a box of the classics from stampin up that I bought from someone. They never used them and I have BARELY used them....lol

Good luck. I know that you are going to love it here!!
