Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
It's Sabrina here as your hostess this week. We are marking the fact that on this day in 1990 Sir Tim Berners-Lee, with help from Robert Cailliau, published a formal proposal for the World Wide Web. Where would our community be without the internet! Splitcoaststampers couldn't even have started without it, and I certainly wouldn't know most of you. Even my card-making friends here in Ireland, I think I met all of them online in the first place...except one.
Computer-related images are a bonus, but celebrate other types of communication too if you don't have any computer stuff... postcards, typewriters, phone calls, letters in envelopes.
When you've created your communications-themed card, upload it with the keyword WT557, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Lisa has gone for the bonus by including a computer on her sample, and Linda has a gorgeous card too - thanks, girls. Make sure to check the gallery - Linda made two versions!
This was so super fun to create and I needed to get it done fast for my BIL who is a techy and repairs programs. Thank you for the fun challenge Sabrina.
My sentiment exactlly. The internet is a real blessing as a way to keep up with and make new friends --- especially for those of us who are now less mobile. My card (if I have time) will be of old fashioned snail mail -- I have friends who do not have computers.

What a fun challenge today, Sabrina! I, too, love my friends that live in the computer! Here is my card celebrating the communication theme: Maxwell's Message
