Challenge Title: You've Got This
Hostess: Simplybeautiful (Ceal Pritchett)
Keyword: HYCCT1530SURVIVOR
Date: October 30th, 2015
I love this time of year, I have played along in the HYCCT challenges since 2011 but this is the first year I have hosted a challenge. I would like to say a big thanks to all my sample makers.
As a survivor, I'll never forget the day I was told I had cancer. It is the most devastating news to hear and you can almost feel the blood drain out of your body. I lost my Mom to breast cancer when I was only 21, but with all the technology today when you hear the "C" word it doesn't mean death anymore, it means fight for your life. It's a hard battle but it can be won if found in time, so get those mammograms. My challenge is to make a card of encouragement letting them know it's going to be okay.

UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Entries must be uploaded to the Hope You Can Cling To Gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than November 7th, 2015 at 12:00 Noon Central Time to be eligible for our fabulous prizes! Post a link to your entry in this thread.
2. You may not combine challenges, but you are welcome to create multiple cards for each challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Please package all challenge entries with an envelope, protected with a clear plastic bag and mail them to our partner at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their family. We would like for them to receive cards throughout the month of October, but we understand if you'd like to mail all your cards at once.
5. Since these cards will be used by visitors for patients, most should be blank inside, but feel free to send cards with messages of hope for the patients in addition to your challenge cards!

So glad you're a survivor Ceal and sorry for your loss. To lose a mom at any age is awful, but I'm sure even harder when you're so young yourself. Hugs today!
I'm so glad you beat breast cancer Ceal; that must have been scary. It's great that you are helping out with this cause. Your experience with losing your mom and being a survivor will touch many.
Thank you so much Ceal for doing these challenges!!! I found the sentiment I wanted to use for my card but had to draw my image because I did not have the stamp I wanted for the image. This was sure a great challenge. Hugs!!!
Ceal- thank you for reminding us how important encouragement is! I went with a Stampabilities' Snoopy image, and added my own sentiment. Lots of polka dots and happy colors! Here's HYCCT1530SURVIVOR Snoopy Hug
