My challenge for you is as simple or hard as you choose. I challenge you to make a phrase the focal point of your project. That could be as simple as a one word phrase. You could use chip board letters, stickers, stamps, hand lettering etc.
For my sample I went really easy. I used the word JOY as my focal point. I die cut letters out of a cereal box and glued two layers together. I then took a black sharpie marker and colored the letters black. I ran them through my cuttlebug to emboss them and then I used a gold metallic rub to go over the raised edges.
For your project to be mixed media you need to use 2 or more different mediums on your project. I used a sharpie marker, metallic rub, water coloring and glitter. Not all mediums have to be expensive or messy. For example if you used ink to stamp and markers to color you are doing mixed media.
If y ou want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items- please know ANYTHING is welcome. We want you to learn and enjoy!
