I'll drink to that! This weeks inspiration is a celebration of the beautiful and varied drinks we serve our guests at parties and gatherings! If you have as much fun as I do creating fun surprises for company coming over on Friday nights, then you'll love this weeks Inspiration Challenge Board "Drinks" by H.B. Harvest. There are soooooo many drinks on this board that I've uploaded 15 samples for those of us who are overwhelmed by large boards and/or stampers that are not Pinterest members. Helpful hints:Feel free to focus on the backgrounds of the drinks as well as just the drinks themselves. I found this board to be jam packed with gorgeous photography, carefully staged indoors and outdoors, while surrounded by beautiful textures and color-palettes!
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
If you are unfamiliar with how to grab the hyperlinks from a Pinterest Board, here is a helpful video:
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the "Drinks" by H.B. Harvest Pinterest Board. Feel free to use the attached files shown below as your inspiration and hyperlinks if you are not a Pinterest Fan.
Use the keyword: IC510 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 15 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
What a yummy board, Audrie!!! I still had my Heartfelt Creations Christmas paper on my work space and wanted to make a couple of more Christmas cards before I put it away for a bit.
The gallery has gorgeous early morning submissions! Love it! I just wanted to let you all know I will be working today, but I will join you early evening (pacific time) Saturday to enjoy your creations! Wishing you loads of inspiration in the meantime,

Audrie! What a fun board. So much inspiration. I made myself just a tiny bit motion sick. I found a pin earlier on my ipad but then I couldn't find it when I went to my computer. I thought of creating a three card set so I was scrolling, scrolling! I never did find it but found another photo which took me in another direction!

Reason: wrong link
That's because Pinterest is using what's called adaptive/responsive design. This means that depending on what you're on (and its' screen size and resolution) things will be reformatted for that device....which makes it is really hard to switch computers and relocate a pin you saw earlier (especially in a huge board like that one with hundreds of pins). So the same thing has happened to me too - lol. The way to avoid that problem is to pin first, then switch devices/computers. You won't lose your own pins.....
Smiles!

I'm home and craftin' and drinkin' safely to everyone's gorgeous designs! This is my poor man's sangria (1/4 glass of your favorite red wine, 3/4 glass fresh mango juice, plenty of ice and a touch of peppermint leaves - unfortunately I didn't have any fresh peppermint today!). Slip slowly while crafting.....
Share your favorite crafting beverage if you have time!
Hugs,
Audrie
Audrie- another wonderful site for inspiration, thanks! I went with the Raspberry Basil Fizz drink for my card starting point- and used a vintage SU set- Gifted Greetings. Added a partial dc frame, and some coloring, finishing with a baker's twine tie. Here's Make A Wish
