It's been on my mind much too! I haven't gotten much stamping done either since. I'm having a baby mid to late October so.....I hope I can get 1/2 way through HYCCT at least!! Just not sure how it will all go. Need to be doing freezer meals, etc too!
Hi ya! I didn't want to start a new thread so I'm just tagging along on the end of this one.
I know it's only August (and some of you more dedicated card makers probably have the big fan club(?) challenge on your mind) but I'm know I need to start exercising my stampy creative side soon, or I'll be out of shape for this years HYCCT challenge.
I haven't done much stamping or card making since Oct last year. I've had a very exciting year putiing all my energies into other areas of my life, but I always keep HYCCT in the back of my mind. It's become a tradition and old habits die hard I guess. Need to find a way to make something quick and snappy.
And then the uploads. I've updated a lot of my electronics but don't know how to use them. Can uploads be done from tablets and simply? If so I'd love to be directed to some info on that.
Other than that.......HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
Hello back at ya! I bet you'd get more help on the upload question in the general forum. I'm no help there. I'm looking forward to HYCCT especially as I didn't get to fully participate in the DTGD challenges.
There are two ways I can upload on my phone, and I'm sure a tablet would be the same. It offers me the choice to use camera, or to upload from my device; for the latter, I would have emailed myself an edited photo from my computer, and then saved it. But if you're happy ycan take good photos with your tablet, you can use the camera option. If they're already on your blog, you can use the image URL. So there are several ways of approaching it.
There used to be an issue with iOs naming all photos "image". If that is still the case, you have to rename them or only upload one photo a day. If you upload two photos called "image" with the same date stamp on them, the gallery software doesn't know which one to show! But I'm Android, and I don't know if this is still a problem; I haven't noticed it on gallery uploads in the last while.
I upload from my android phone because the camera is better. If I need to edit, I edit from my tablet because the screen is larger. If you take your picture with your tablet just save it to your gallery and upload from there
Thanks for all that ladies. If I get to make anything I'll only have time to snap it then upload straight from the Android Tablet.
I should try a test run first. I like to have info on my uploads but I may have to keep it brief to save time. I'd rather get something made.
And for what it is worth, every year I did HYCCT I felt a little bit bad that I didn't follow thru on the message to get a check up. I finally came out of the shadows and got my first one done a couple of months ago. We have a wonderful service whereby a mobile unit will be parked in a shopping car park for a couple of months to do the mammograms. There was one parked right beside the car wash I use every week. Too easy!!
Hi Theresa,i have just uploaded a card using my iPad ,I didnt know if it would work but it did yeah. I am having my annual Mammogram tomorrow. Good luck uploading cheers
Theresa...lol, I had to chuckle at what you said about not knowing how to use your new electronics. I'm still using a very old laptop that has 2007 version of Photoshop installed on it because I have no idea how to use the new current cloud based photoshop subscription one.
Last year my laptop died right around the same time we switched to smart phones. I was in "new tech" overload. Didn't know how to do anything and found myself frustrated constantly. I think it may have been right at HYCCT time too! Eventually I managed to figure it out....probably in ways that would make a computer savvy person cringe, but in ways that work for me!
