This is my first year for "Dirty Challenge Week" (I'm sure I have the name wrong)...and holy moly-the gallery has just exploded with all kinds of goodness! I put on my afterburners to just try and keep up!
It isnt over yet, but I just want to do a big shout out to the challenge makers and all the people doing them!!! Whooot!!! What a bonanza for newbies like me to see all kinds of ideas and techniques! There is a LOT of ink flying this week around the place!
I say we should just say all cards this week have been automatically favorited! It's always so hard to pick but this is just crazy! (in a good way).
I'm a Fan and this week is like getting a surprise party on top of the rest of the year! THANK YOU.

LOL. If you follow the favourites thread you know that I only tend to list 3 or 4 most weeks (except for the Best of the Year!). For sure I have more than normal this week, and that's only the tip of the iceberg!
For me, aside from favouriting, I intend to add a few ideas to a sheet I have in Google docs - I'm more likely to look at that when I need a quick idea some time.
Do, do!! It's not compulsory to make them all, LOL, but it has always given me an enormous feeling of achievement when I do ( this was my first year on the hostess side ;-)).. It's a great week of stretching and growing, learning new things and rediscovering old ones. The exhaustion is more than compensated for by the tremendous creative buzz!!
Wavejumper (so sorry I don't know your human name), thank you for your comments. I must admit that I am exhausted, but it is so worth it when I read comments like this. I have taken your advice and I am having a stiff drink...actually it is rough red, but I am smiling. I hope you upload some cards very soon.

Reason: Typo...and I have only had two sips of wine!!
This is a bittersweet shout-out... I ADORE the whole slew of hostesses and the challenges that they came up with - THANK YOU!!! - but "life" got in the way this week (I'm bummed, too, because the horizon was totally clear in the weeks leading up to this), and I was only able to make three cards... I haven't even photographed or uploaded any of them yet, and I have to start a new job this morning. Oh, poor, pitiful me, I know, but I was SOOO looking forward to this week (as I do every year - better than Christmas!), and it's been an awful letdown.
On a brighter note, I haven't been able to spend much time in the galleries, either, but what I've seen is lovely! SO - thanks again to the hostesses AND the players - well done! (And see you again next year - it will all be better by then, right?)
Wont the challenge thread still be posted? I mean, it wont be in real time, but you could do them Sue when you have time...
And hey!!! YAY for a new job!! Glad to hear it! I knew it wouldnt be long!
Oh lordy I did 4 cards today for DH's bday tomorrow. Not ONE of them came out as I wanted. Nope..not ready yet for posting. I really need to make cards more often...I am almost going backwards skill wise.
That is so totally cool Wavejumper!! What fun for us to hear how much you are enjoying this week...after all, it is for you and all the Fan Club members!! We sure hope you all enjoy! Love hearing it from you!

PS Wavejumper, we would all love to know your real name, you might think about editing your signature to add it.
That's sweet Susie and Robin. Thanks, I appreciate the invite. Sorry. I never put my real name on the net. I was a victim of violent crime, including stalking. I keep a low profile generally. It's actually weird for me to be on a forum at all but this place is worth it! Big reason I dont do social media. I never used to tell people that but if you just say "I dont use my name on the net" people wonder if you are on the lam or something nefarious.
I came up with Wavejumper b/c I like to jump the waves at the beach-not that I ever get to go anymore.
I could make up a name people could use if it would make people more comfortable?
wavejumper please don't do anything you are not comfortable doing. It never occurred to me there was a reason for not giving your name, I am so sorry you felt you had to explain yourself.
On a happier note, I am so glad you enjoyed DTGD week and thank you so much starting this thread. Splitcoaststamperville is a very happy place to visit wavejumper. xx

It's ok. I understand. People should be able to freely move around in the world. It didnt happen recently but I dont need that kind of "blast from the past" either. The world got a lot smaller with the internet.
It was my pleasure. So much work goes into the site all the time, and I learn so much and get so much happiness out of it, which is why I am a Fan member, but this was clearly WAY more work and I just felt like a big thank you and kudos was the right way to respond. Sorry if that makes me sound like a goof or a suck up. Cuz to know me is to SO know I am not the second...the first...some daaaays I put the G in goofball! LOL
Thank you for explaining your username, wavejumper! I have a couple of times thought about pm-ing you to ask if that was it. I suppose the day will come when I am too old to jump waves, but I hope it's not for a long time yet .
I had an awesome time playing in the DTGD15 Challenges!! The Challenge Hostesses came up with great challenges that got us (me for sure) to be creative and have fun, fun, fun!!! I can't even begin to imagine all the time and work that goes into making this a reality, I can only be thankful that it happens A very BIG thank you to everyone who is involved in making these challenges come to fruition!
Wavejumber, thanks so much for starting this thread!
I always look forward to this week. I so love and appreciate all of you ladies who work so hard to prepare this for us, talk with us and comment on so many cards. I don't know how you do it, but oh so glad that you do. I was fortunate to get all 40 cards done. Maybe next year we can show pictures of our stamping space when we are finished. I ended up with a small space to work in for my last few cards. LOL Thank you so much for giving so much of yourselves to us. You are an amazing group of ladies!

Reason: wrong picture
Thank you to all the hostesses for a series of awesome challenges, and a push to expand my creativity. I really tried to do some that at first, I thought "no way." And it is great to see the gallery of so many gorgeous cards.

Yes, Sabrina just directed me to this thread, wavejumper! And I just want to say a big THANK YOU and send a big HUG to you for being such a wonderful encourager and being a Fan Club Member. My heart goes out to you, and I now understand why you don't have a gallery and share. Totally agree with you. But thank you for always leaving such wonderful and sweet comments. Thanks for our recent comment on my cards. A cyber hug will have to do. Or as my DD sis Susie Australia says, big squishy hugs! Just love the SCS community!
