Heres the Plan... Design a card (or other project... ornament, box, bag, etc)
Create 2 completed items (1 for a sample at the craft table and 1 to display for voting)
Create 20 kits of your card. (number may be smaller-- depends on attendees) Put the kits in a shoebox or small basket.
Using 20 small bags or envelopes make a kit for each of the gals attending.
Be sure to print 20 copies of your instructions... one for each gal.
You do not need to provide tape and glue for your project.... each swapper should bring her own.
Your project/shoebox will be set at a marked space.
Swappers will move from project to project. (Some people will finish faster than others, but there is plenty of space to work side by side when needed. Each of us will go home with 19 new projects.)
What to bring... Your "shoebox" with...
* the 20 kits (19 for us gals to make + 1 in case there are any mistakes)
* any "stuff" we will need to create your project
* the 2 completed items
* Your own "tool kit" to carry with you from project to project.tape, glue, pop-dots, scissors, pen, pencils et cetera.
* If you have extra cards at home that you would like to donate to the church's card ministry, we would be delighted to have them.
Sack Lunch This has worked well previously and no leftovers!
Name Tag... Create your own name tag. Make it a piece of artwork that you can be proud to wear.
Janitors request... No loose glitter. No embossing powder. Those things get in the carpet and stay for months. Stickles are fine. Watercolors and chalk are great.
Hi Garnet, please sign me up!! Also, Sandy and my friend Shirley will be coming too. I have one more friend, Alice, who will get back to me after she checks her calendar. There are 2 more gals I want to tell about the swap. I will get back to you about them as soon as I can. Thank you for organizing this swap again! Karen

Garnet, it looks like I'll be able to make it this year. I'll get a check out next week sometime. Also, what types of cards does your church need? I'd be happy to bring any extras or even make a few if there are specific needs.

Thinking, thinking, thinking... I work nights, 10:30 pm till 8:30 am... just trying to figure out whether my Saturday energy can carry me till mid-afternoon lol. I usually do Costco shopping on Saturdays after I get off work, that's gotta be more exhausting right?! LOL!
If there are still spots available later on I'll add my name but I don't think I can commit just yet.

Would love to have you attend. Our list of names is short still, so you have time to decide.
Finally, I have a few minutes to post a thank you for all who have signed up and all who have sent payment. I was away from home for almost a week and returned to find money in my mailbox!!
If any of you know of other stampers in the area, feel free to send them a link to this page. We can have a great time with a small group or a big group, but I don't want anyone to feel left out.
Hi Garnet,
Thank you for hosting this again. I'm sending our regrets as Julie Haugen and myself, Debbie Resch are not able to attend this year. Hope you all have a wonderful time. Looking forward to seeing all the cards posted after the Shoebox. Have fun!

What a marvelous opportunity to meet fellow SCS members and exchange ideas. I sure wish I could join you guys. However, I'm leaving the following Tuesday for a girls week in CA and a couple of weeks later for a weekend with my daughter. I think my travel time and money for October is all used up. Is this usually held in October?

Sorry you can't attend! Yes, we usually meet on the first Saturday in October, sometimes the last of September.
