Default Hello!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Yessy but friends also call me Jenny.

I recently got into paper crafting(like 5 weeks ago). As with most of my hobbies, arts and crafts I tend to obsess over the new for a few weeks then move on to the next.

I got into this when my sister and cousin where talking about my sisters old cricut machine. I knew what it was but had never really looked into it. I was making a lot of party items for family parties at this point and thought, hum...better look into this product.

So I ended up with a Cricut machine an 16 sets of designer paper. Because, as all things to do with me I get obsessed with the buying process of a hobby lol.

I started using the machine to make cards and a wedding invitation for one of my friends. While trying to find embellishments for the invitation I ran across a heat embossing kit. So I took it home and looked up online what I could do with it. The kit came with some stamps and Perfect Medium.

Well, to make a long story short, I now have an embossing machine, well over 100 stamps, a set of watercolor brush markers and a new found LOVE for card making.

I am not using my Cricut as much, mostly to cut envelopes and card bases. I found the technique I am loving the most is watercoloring stamp images.

Hope to learn more as I go.

Hi and welcome from New Zealand! That is great you have found what really appeals about card making. I also love the watercolour look and there are many ways of getting that. Have fun and do ask if you have any questions.

Oh, Yessy, welcome to SCS, and what fun! I agree - you've started off with a bang with all those supplies - what fun! Yes, you'll love the newsletter and also might enjoy one or more of the weekly challenges. The Saturday Inspiration Challenge is a wide-open one, and since you are enjoying watercoloring (isn't it fun???), that could lend itself to what you like. Welcome again, and I look forward to seeing your gallery grow! Hugs!

Thank you all for the welcome.

My stash has grown. I need to STOP going to our local craft mall store.
