I've posted to multiple threads multiple times about multiple things I've done over the years in my stamping area (covering several apartments and houses, even), and realized that I don't have any current information anywhere. I rectified that situation with a blog post (too many pictures and all to try to log them here), if anyone cares to see: The Time Has Come...
There are also bits about how I store my stamps and dies and a couple of other tweaks that make things easier for me...
Everything looks good Sue. Want to come do mine. lol I work on organizing all the time but never finish. I have been unmounting my stamps to use with the Misti.
My problem is I get an item stuck in my head that I want to use and then I buy and the store doesn't carry any more. Dollar Tree had great baskets with one pull out handle. I got about 6 and can't find again. Wal Mart has these white ones that are a little larger and cost about $2.50 which is OK but they are hit and miss in the stores around here.
Sue thanks for sharing!! You have given me a couple of great ideas. I don't have a dedicated stamp room either so I understand the challenge of keeping everything neat and organized in a small space.
I like the idea of storing your dies in CD envelopes rather than in CD cases. I am sure the envelopes take less space to store. Mine are in plastic CD cases and I think I will buy CD envelopes for them . Although I don't have a lot of ribbon and I don't have Washi tape I like your idea of taking it off the spool and rolling it . Yours all fit in a small divided box.
Thanks again!!
Barbara

Thanks for the support, everyone! I tweaked everything a bit more today - I can never just leave well enough alone... Minor enough changes that I'm not even sharing, lol!
I am willing to travel anywhere/everywhere I'm wanted/needed, but until I'm independently wealthy, whoever I'm coming to see would have to foot the travel expenses, I'm a-feared...
How far are you from McKinney, TX? My son lives there and I could make a detour ;)

Maybe we actually could meet sometime, Sue. It looks like McKinney is just outside Dallas, and OKC is straight north from Dallas on I-35, just a couple of hundred miles - about a 3 hour drive with traffic.
We used to love to go down to Dallas for weekend get-aways, but as my hubby has gotten older, we tend to stay close to home.

I just looked at the map and I'd be coming RIGHT THROUGH OKC to get to where my son is
I thought that I had remembered OKC being on I-40, and that's the best way to go (down through Kingman, AZ and then across...), so it's not even a detour! Hmmm...I'll give you a heads-up if/when I head out that way. I need to visit Bev (Texas Grammy), too - she's in that general area. I feel a road trip comin' on!

That sounds like fun, Sue! I could meet you someplace convenient on I-40. There are tons of good restaurants along the highway. We could eat and visit. Just let me know anytime you are heading this way and we can work it out.

Bev is near the DFW airport - how fun! I'm about 3.5 hours south of her. I am going to a class in Dallas at the end of April though. When are you coming?

My daughter used to live in Plano - I really liked it! I used to live in Austin, so I'm really, really jealous of you, Lydia! I keep trying to convince my husband that we need to move back there, but he can't deal with the humidity. It's every bit as hot here in Vegas, "but it's a dry heat"... ;)
Sounds like we should plan a mini-Splitcoast Texas/Oklahoma convention! Anyone want to spearhead that? I'll just show up, but I can bring goodies
What a small world! I lived most of my life in Dallas, Denton and Frisco areas. I've been in Arizona for the past 6 years - house is in contract and we are planning to move to NW Arkansas (or back to Texas if I can persuade DH!) He doesn't like the humidity either, but is wanting back to green, trees and lakes! lol
I can't stand the heat (dry or otherwise) and the dust and desert of Arizona. Plus I want closer to family. My oldest DD lives in Arlington.
Would love to hook up with you ladies sometime!
awesome. I love how you put die cut silhuettes on with contact paper to easily view die cuts. I have a small section of peg board, but do enjoy that someone came up with those wall organizers

Lovely! I'd be up for a cross-country tour to visit everybody! Who wants to come with? We'll rent an RV and bid adieu to the DHs and all and head on out! (One can dream, right?)
