Default Wholesale adhesive supplier?

Does anyone know a source to purchase adhesives in bulk? I find that I'm running out of my refills very quickly. I currently use the glue glider pro, scor pal, and thermoweb taperunner xl. I'd also like to find a place to purchase glue dots in bulk, those seem to run out fast too.

Thanks!

www.penwa.com has Tombow adhesive refills.. they have some really good deals and I think that they still have free shipping.

I guess I'm not following the logic... How would using an ATG gun keep me from having to buy adhesive in bulk? I've never seen an ATG gun, so I'm not sure I understand how it would help?

ATG adhesive is much less expensive than Glue Glider Pro refills. I have never used the Glue Glider Pro but have used the ATG for about 4 years. Refills for the ATG are around $2.50 for 36 feet vs the Glue Glider around $9.00 for 40 feet.

Yep. Except that's the ATG price for 36 YARDS.

Also, if you buy from www.framingsupply.com, you get a bulk discount when you buy 12 or more rolls (which is what I usually order). I tend to buy 12 rolls of Scotch ATG Gold (for scrapping - it's acid free) and 24 of regular Scotch ATG (for cards and 3-D items) and it lasts me 4-6 months. I too am a heavy tape user. Speaking of which, I need to go and order more...

I just went to that website - but how do you find the ATG tape? Could you give a direct link ?

thanks for the info on where to buy the adhesive for the ATG's.. I bought one yesterday from someone locally for $40 (with a new box of tape) off of craigslist. I used it today and was very happy with it.

thanks again~ Pam

I found that framingsupply charges a lot for shipping/handling (thus increasing the price per ATG tape roll significantly). However, I found that markerpop.com sells ATG refill tape (2 rolls per box) at $4.85 with free shipping on any $50+ purchase ... has anyone found a better deal?

I buy my ATG refills from Tape Depot, 12 at a time, which works out to 1.95 per roll. Shipping is only $5.95.

If you order from their ebay store, it works out a little cheaper, $26.99 with free shipping for 12 rolls.

You're welcome. I've ordered from them multiple times and have always been happy with the tape and the quick shipping.

Has anyone had any recent problems with the ATG tape from Tape Depot? I LOVE this company and we have always ordered from them in the bulk 144 rolls and never have had a problem. I know that sometimes things happen with "flaws" that cannot be avoided and are not the fault of the company. SO...I got a box this week and the rolls will NOT stay on the tape gun. The white "core" appears to be bent. I went and bought a new gun as I have had it for a long time and thought maybe I just needed a new one. Did not help. I have sent an email to the Tape Depot but thought I would check to see if anyone else has had RECENT problems with the tape and/or "white core" of the tape. THANKS for any information.

Every so often I get a roll that wants to fall off the spool. The simple fix I've found is to use one of the ribbon cardboards from Stampin' Up! ribbon. It's possible that other cardboards fit, but these are the ones I have and use.

If you can't quite picture what this looks like, think putting a record on a spindle - where the spindle is your tape gun with your adhesive in place and the cardboard fitting over that is the record.

This looks like a great deal on ebay. The seller has 100% positive feedback, too. You get 12 rolls for $25.99, with free shipping:

I still have about 6 rolls left from my last batch, but when I need tape this is where I will get it. I used to get my tape on ebay from the Tape Depot, but they didn't turn up there when I searched today. I guess they don't have their ebay store anymore.

Tape depot has their own website. Tapedepot.com. I even bought my ATG gun from them and it works well and the tape is working fine. (And cheap)

Yes, I first shopped on their website a couple of years ago. Then I discovered their ebay store, and the tape was cheaper there, and had free shipping. (Who knows why it was cheaper than the website, lol.) Anyway, that's where I got my tape very cheap, but now the ebay store has disappeared.

Gosh, something's going on with Tape Depot. I just went to their website, tapedepot.com, and it says the domain is for sale!

Disregard what I said in the above post about Tape Depot and their domain. The actual website is thetapedepot.com, and they are still in business. And they now have free shipping, which they didn't have when I ordered before. And the price is super, $1.15 per roll.

Thanks, Copperkids, for sending me back to check on them. That's a better deal than the one on ebay, for sure.

I use the same tape as shown on the Ebay link shown above, and it is not the Scotch brand & is not acid free, but it works fine for cards.

The white plastic core on these rolls is inconsistent. I've been using it for a number of years and the last 3 rolls I've used have a deformed plastic core. I made a shim (also mentioned above) out of recycled packaging plastic (so I can see how much tape I have left) to hold it on my gun, plus made a thick shim (plain cardstock) for the "empty" side of the gun. This has cured the problem!

When the rolls arrive, sometimes in just an envelope, they are not flat. I started storing my rolls flat, stacked on top of each other, with a weight to keep the rolls flat. This seems to help as well.

I have still been shopping around-thanks ladies for the info! I used to scrapbook alot-but now back into my cards. Since I am newly retired-seems like this will work for me-even if I have to shim it!!! Thanks again!
