MMTPT345 ~March 10, 2015~ Please Give Me No Static, We Must Search the Attic
Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #345
Please Give Me No Static, We Must Search the Attic
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Lady Idle was in a bit of a dither. She was the hostess of the Pepperpot Ladies luncheon this month and everything seemed to be going awry.
2. Though Ladies are supposed to be gracious hostesses the Pepperpots had veered into a pattern of ones-upsmaship. Three months ago lady Chapman had a chef flown in from India to cook a Pandit meal. Two months ago. Lady Palin had caviar flown in from Russia and decorated the table with Faberge eggs. Last month Lady Cleese had glass eels and truffles shipped from France.
3. Lady Idle didnt want to let the other Pepperpots down, but the Idle Manor had hit upon hard times. The fields had been improperly tended and the forests harvested recklessly. The income stream was not what it once was and Lady Idle simply could not afford the extravagance that the other Ladies were lavishingbut she wanted everyone to enjoy an elegant and memorable affair.
4. Lord Idle, always the pragmatist didnt see a problem. My dear, we have plenty of beautiful things stored awaywhy dont you serve your guests a fine English feast on my Grandmums fine English china? What could be more welcoming and more patriotic? Why, you could even invite the ladies to come in their finest Victorian attire!
5. Oh Lord Idle, you are brilliant! gushed Lady Idle. But where was that service? And where could she find just the right frock? Please give me no static, we must search the attic. For feathers and laces will bring joy to their faces.
I think that you get where this is taking us, Teapotters, but here is some musical inspiration:
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Bring all things Victorian to the Teaparty this week. Victorian hats, jewelry, dresses and yes...tea services!!!
EPEC ~ (EXTRA POINTS FOR EXTRA COOKIES!)
A bit of textile of any sort would be a lovely addition to your card this week...but garnish it with ostentatious notes of Indian, Russian or French and it is the back door for you!!
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is Sandpoint Idaho. If you need a destination for your card, how about Rheannon? Rheannon is a friend of SCSer mjdiddoit.
To find out why as well as get the address to mail your card, please visit post449 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread.
Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is totally 100% voluntary!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT345 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given Sheri (KSNurse) permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send her a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.

Here's mine. Surely those ladies would have had a fan like this. I tried incorporating some real old lace from my grandmother's attic, but it didn't look right.
What a lovely dance, t-pot and cookies. will be a great gallery...thanks for the story too...here is my Dress for Rheannon

What a wonderful group of ladies you are! My DH was so surprised and encouraged by all the wonderful cards he received. His surgery went well, now just the long process of healing and getting strength back. There are no words to express what this has meant to both of us. I hope to be able to get back to the tea party next week.
I have been taking a quick look at the gallery for this week and as usual you have outdone yourselves and produced beautiful cards of encouragement.
Hugs,
Faith
