Hello everyone!! Hope you had a wonderful week end and are ready to do a little stamping!!! It's my turn to host this week's challenge and I have a fun one for you....it's calledScene in a Circle. Here are the deets: 1. Create a scene with stamps, dies, or both on a piece of cardstock and then cut it out with a circle die or punch. 2. You can also cut the circle first and then create the scene...what ever floats your boat!!! 3. Be sure to use the scene as your focal point and build your card sketch around it or... 4. Create a round card design with the scene in the center. 5. Be creative and have fun!!
Joan- great challenge, thanks! I substituted a scalloped flower shape for my circle, and added a large oval frame. Sailboat image is from SU's Wonderful Woodcuts. Added a batik fabric strip and twine/floss combo for accents. Background is my under the sea quilt- almost done! Here's Sailboat Happy Birthday

Joan- wanted to do a true Scene in a Circle- used this cute image from SU's You Brighten My Day, along with a perky striped background and a pair of holiday dc borders. Finished with a button/floss combo. Here's Bright Lightbulb

Here is my project for tonight I was able to combine this with CAS314. Thanks for looking! My favorite dies are my circles! I have 2 plain sets so I can get 1/8 borders and some fancy ones and lots of doilies
I just found the challenges here at SCS and found my challenge card I may last night matched this challenge. BUT, I plan on making another one today specifically for this. I need a new b-day card for BRAK... be back soon. =)
Well, for once it was great to be able to use the stamps I have chosen to use this month for the "Use It" challenge to combine so perfectly with one of the regular daily challenges!
Thanks for the inspiration, Joan - it took me in a totally different direction to what I had planned with this card. TLC523 Flying in Circles
Thank so much Joan for the lovely challenge. I love to color flowers, but any time I get a chance to color up an older Penny Black illustration, I'm on it!
