Does anyone know if you can replace the nibs on the brush end of SU markers?
I've let others use mine and they smooshed the tips. Now they don't work well at all. Definitely can't use them for fine intricate coloring and some don't even work well to fill in an easily colored area.
I've had trouble with my new markers too with the nibs already broken down. It looks like I'll have to buy new markers instead of just replacing the nib. Oh well.

I saw some nibs at Michael's that sort of looked as though they would work...but since I've not tried to pull out one from my pens, I can't tell for sure, and don't really want to mess up what's left of its life. Maybe when I get one that's completely gone, I'll give them a try.
copic markers brush tips can be purchased in replacement packs. if the opening of the tips of these markers are about the same size, you could probably use the same replacement tips as the copics.
I bought Cut-n-Dry*� Brush Tip Pen Nibs by Ranger at Mi***els to use with SU! stamp pads. Saves me having to buy the matching pens. They work great and you only need to rinse them under tap water for easy clean-up.
I have taken the nibs out of blender pens, put them in the marker and soaked it in the matching reinker - the nibs arn't exactly the same but they fit and work really well and it is cheaper than buying new markers.
Hold the nibs in a piece of cloth and pull them out carefully giving them a little twist and they pop out easily.
How do I know this? Acustomer ruined an almost new nib and I needed the pen at a workshop the following night so i had to come up with something quick LOL.

Thank you for sharing this! I bought the entire case of markers about 6 months ago. I am so disappointed in the quality! I have stored them flat as told, and never set them upright. Yet, the fine tip side on almost every marker is totally dry - and I rarely use that side. But can't get them to write. And the brush ends... which I use often - the ones I use alot are all mushy! For the expense of these markers I would expect them to last more than 6 months. I sure wish I had purchased Copics... the investment in all of the SU markers was a bad one.

I use my SU markers all the time and I love them. They do color a bit dark especially if they are newer. I try using a color a bit lighter than what I am looking for and that usually works for me.
When you say the lines of your stamp disappear do you mean with outlined images? If so, try using Stazon ink and that will even help prevent your image from smearing.
If you are taking about solid images, it could also be the cardstock you are using. I have found that certain card stocks work better with solid images.....for example; I use my SU card stock when I'm coloring directly on a stamp or using solid images. The SU card stock accepts the ink much better giving me a better quality image.

This has happened to my markers as well, but I do use them all the time. I store the sideways and the smaller tip is dried out on several of them. When I want to use the smaller tip I'll use the matching ink pad and tap the tip into the ink pad and I can use it that way. I've even reinked my markers by just holding the tip of the marker into the bottle of reinker.
I do have a few markers that should be replaced because the tips are shot, but I just figured it was because I used them so much. I'm seriously considering trying copic markers instead of investing in an entire set again.
if you are having trouble with your markers getting dry, you can pull the nibs out and add a few drops of re-inker. I have had a few where the tips have frayed as well, but if I need really fine detailed work done, I would rather use the journaling end anyway. I'd not thought about getting replacement nibs from another brand, but I will have to give that a try. I don't think I want to waste a blender pen just for the nib... might as well buy a new marker instead.

Keeping your markers stored horizontally will allow both ends to have an even distribution of the ink (to each tip). And it will also extend the life of your markers without having to re-ink them. HTH

I love my stampin' up markers. I have a set I bought over 10 years ago that sat around for a few years when i wasn't stamping, but still work now that I have gotten back into it. They are awesome. One of my favorite things to do is color ribbon. I hate the fact that stampin up doesn't have ribbon in every color so I buy the white satin ribbon at a craft store and use the brush end to color it to match my card. Not every color is an exact match but it definitely coordinates.
You can also run your ribbon over your dye ink stamp pad. If you get it too dark just dampen a piece of paper towel and remove some of the ink. Let it dry over night. I don't know how many times I thought it was dry and had to take some creative measures to cover up ink blobs from wet ribbon.

Thank you so much for this. That's what I thought about doing as well. And because I figured they would work, I cannot understand why SU or anyone else for that matter, doesn't sell just the nibs. I think I might go and buy the ones I saw at Michael's, and see if they fit.
With it being Back to School time, there are so many different markers out there & deals on them. Maybe you could find some cheap brush markers with the same tips. Remove tips, rinse/bleach out the color & use them as replacements. First place I would look would be at a dollar store.
Stampin' Up! doesn't sell them but this company does and they are wonderful to deal with. Shipping is very reasonable too. Your markers will be like new again. They are fantastic: Tips 4 Markers

Just to anyone that may stumble on to this... I followed the link mentioned and ordered on 2/4/2015 and as of today (2/15/2015) have not received the product. Thankfully I paid via pay pal and opened up a dispute...... perhaps everyone else had a great experience with them when this was originally posted, but PayPal is holding the payment.

I wanted to update this post that I posted earlier regarding this company. The individuals did finally contact me and explained the delay and I have since received my tips. As others have stated, they fit in the Stampin Up' markers and I was to use my "Real Red" brush tip again.

I bought copics 3 years ago and gsce a full set, probably used a dozen colours n that's i n then didn't use then for over a year.. went back to them expecting them to be all dried up and grose but ALL except 1 work. ..
Awesome investment but i just have to learn how to use them.

In case you guys don't know, Stampin Up no longer sells the Blendabilities.
They finally figured out something was wrong with them. A bit late for some of us who spent over $200 for the things.
I am sending mine in for refund and buying Copics.
