Happy Valentine's Day for those of you that celebrate the lovers holiday in the U.S.! When I dream of love, I enjoy paging through old scrapbooks to find those memorable photos that always bring a smile to my face (love looking at my wedding photos too).....As I paged though my scrapbooks this week, enjoying the memories, I decided that this was a good time for us to honor 'photography'! So this weeks' inspiration site is all about photography! Using photos for creative elements like pillows and books, and even cards! I hope you will enjoy browsing her store, and that you find just the right the photo element to spark your creativity this week!
Challenge Goals:
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today. Please be sure that all of your descriptions have a link back to your inspiration piece available only from the Crystal Gayle Photography Etsy Store.
Use the keyword: IC480 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites...so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge.
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
wow I love that store, she has so many shots that look like stamps I own or shots I have taken... this is cool. it might take me all day to be "back" with something
audrie- great site, thanks! I was inspired by the Golden photo (Autumn Streets, Golden Trees) and used High Hope's Carpenter Ant and Handy Man sentiment for my card, dedicated to my DH who can fix almost anything! Did some dry embossing for texture, along with twine and floss, and "duct tape" to hold it together. Here's Handy Man

I went for creation #2 with my bookmark- using Lawn Fawn's Heebie Jeebies stamp set, recycled fabric scraps ( see my Trick or Treat Quilt in gallery), and some corrugated cardboard. Finished with some zigzag black and white washi tape. Inspired by the paint set artsy decor print- here's Bat Boo Bookmark

sorry this is so late, my first idea did not pan out... shot a photo of a blooming orchid in my kitchen intending to use the actual photograph but, I shot it with this instaxmini that is a (like a Polaroid) toy camera I got for Christmas but, the camera does not do anything real "close up" its good for more whole room shots...
A couple of Crystal's photograph's inspired me to break open some new Susan's Garden mini flower dies. I had a ball working with them and then figuring out how to present them on a card.
