Hello, Lisa here with your Ways to Use It challenge this week. Since this is my first challenge to hostess and I am a girly girl, I would like to have everyone dress up your cards with beads. So show me your beads, big beads, little beads, pictures with beads.
Everyone is saying, "Phew, she did not say shoes." Funny thing, I do not own any shoe stamps so I would have to get really creative on my card this week.
If anyone would like to venture out and try making the Paper Beads, there is a great tutorial here: Paper Beads Tutorial
When you upload your card to the gallery be sure to use WT516 as the keyword. If you come back and share a link to your card here, it makes it easy for people to find you.
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY

I had the perfect wooden bead (the only wooden bead I had) and it just walked away and disappeared! I can't find it anywhere! The wooden peg was the next best thing I had. Great challenge Lisa!!!

I had this chunky bead that said "club" to me- so it went perfectly with my Hambo stamps Caveman image. Added some coloring, distressing, and a ribbon border. Done! Here's Man Cave

I'm linking my card again, as it is not showing up in the gallery - I think it has something to do with the challenge being # 516, but the link to the gallery says 515 - I changed my keyword a couple times, not sure why I'm not in this challenge gallery?

Here is my card for the, WT516-beads challenge. I had a lot of fun with this card, although, I had to make it in shifts, I finally got it finished. Hope you like it. Thanks for the fun challenge, and thanks for looking. It is so late here, I think I 'll have to check out all the pretty cards in the morning. I promise I will.

Here's my use of a bead on this card. It is a jeweler's grade freeform Moonstone briolette, I believe the stones were classified as AAA quality nuggets that I bought at a jewelry trunk show a few years back. It is nice on the dark grey background, lots of blue flash.
This card sat on my desk a few days, it just didnt feel finished. As soon as this challenge came up I knew what to do!
I added a star cluster to the bow, there is a heat embossed silver star with a short beaded copper wire in front of it. I added a peridot swarovski bicone crystal in between the two glass stars.
I just HAD to play, Shoe Girl, you always stop by and leave me comments which i appreciate very much. Sorry I haven't been to active. Pneumonia was kicking my butt until today i finally feel like I have come back from the dead.
