Hello! I'm new here and just got a Big Shot for Christmas. I'd like to make some cards using this embossing folder (link below), but I cannot find who makes it. I've seen it on Pinterest a couple times, but it doesn't say the manufacturer. Then the latest card I found using it was from scrapbook.com in the gallery section. It lists all the supplies used, EXCEPT the embossing folder!! Ugh! Does anyone know? Thank you!
Lydia's strategy sounds good but as you're new to the site I thought it might be worth saying that you need to click on the bit at the top that says "Send message" and choose the second one ("Send a private message to Beantown Scrappah") rather than using the visitor message box that's there on the page. She'll most likely get an e-mail notification that she has a private message but she's very unlikely to see a visitor message.
Hope you track down the folder (and it's not a retired one which would give you an extra problem to overcome!).
Hi - and welcome to Splitcoaststampers The embossing folder is called Washed Away by Couture Creations and is a 5" x 7" folder. It is from their Dreamscapes Collection. I just did a bit of a search online and the folder seems to still be widely available.
I love many of the Couture Creations folders and have a few.
However, I will give you a heads up, and I quote their site... *Each Couture Creations embossing folder collection is available only while stocks last & are produced in limited runs throughout each year.
And to quote my local scrapbook store, when they make a run of one folder, or line of folders...that's it. They don't make any more.
And that means, since they don't make that line of folders anymore, the ones left in any stores are all that is left anywhere...except in craft rooms that is!
After a lot of searching today I was able to find one and purchase it. I got one from chicandsavvycrafters.com. Can't wait to start my first project with my new Big Shot! Thanks again ladies!
Aloha and Welcome to the "BEST" site ..They Have the most wonderful creators here and the knowledge is as great as their kindness!! Here Is the true Meaning of Ohana.

There are always the scalpers on eBay haha I've been known to purchase from a few ;) especially Kliban stamps

enablers. all of you. you made me HAVE to have this! LOL I just ordered one.
So pretty for baptism or First Holy Communion cards, which I make TONS of. Excited!
Okay, I confess... I went to try and buy one too after seeing this. lmbo Luckily for my wallet, they don't have any more where the OP bought hers. Can't find any that are being sold in this country. It's for the best, really... right?
I purchased the "Joe's Garden" embossing folder and finally got around to trying to use it today. It would not go through my trusty Bug. ????? I have never had a problem running an embossing folder before so now I am perplexed. I took the folder and compared it with other folders and it doesn't appear to be thicker. I have tried using different sandwiches leaving out one of the plates or trying to use the C plate, but no luck. I have also tried running it through with no cardstock. I am sure if I forced it through it would break my bug so I am not going to take any chances. I still don't understand what is happening with this particular folder, but I wanted to give you a heads up to watch out when you use these folders. I am bummed because the design is beautiful!
