Join me this week as we explore beautiful paper art on the Paper Art & Sculpture Board by Elaine Milewsky on Pinterest. There is everything imaginable designed using paper! You'll find amazing paper clothing, wonderful wall sculptures, 3D home decor items, and I even spotted a few card designs that leveraged beautiful paper dies! WOW! I know you'll find an inspiration for your own artistic use of paper!
A quote from Pablo Picasso: The artist is a receptacle for emotions
that come from all over the place:
from the sky, from the earth,
from a scrap of paper...
Challenge Goals: Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today .
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Paper Art and Sculpture board.
If you are unfamiliar with how to grab the hyperlinks from a Pinterest Board, here is a helpful video:
Use the keyword: IC474 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites (plus one that I found worth a smile!) so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
What an amazing collection of paper art on today's challenge site. I got so caught up in admiring the beautiful creations, I temporarily forgot why I was there. Here is my White Cardinal

I was inspired by Helen Musselwhite's wonderful paper crafting, especially her trees with the woodland animals creation here. I took a leftover Christmas card, added some paper strips woven into the center of the tree, and added a Santa postage stamp and a foam penguin embellishment. Here's Holiday Buddies

Audrie- had to revisit the site, this time I was inspired by Rob Dulavey's colorful castle creation here and went with an oval dc of Santa and a reindeer taken from a reindeer food gift tag, with a gilded card strip for a lower horizontal border. Added a quilted fabric strip wrapped around my card, along with a foam snowflake, and a red raffia tie. Here's Snowflake Friends

My first challenge! And I loved how it inspired me. My inspiration came from girlgeek's selections, the NYC card (sorry, I don't know how to link to it).
Impressive paper artwork! I chose this picture as my inspiration:
Here's my card. I used small paper flowers for the hydrangea, and SU's Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for background. I simply love the embossed background.
