One of the lessons of the unexpected is to be thankful for every moment, thankful for friends and family who support each other, thankful for so much outpouring of love, thankful to be able to just breathe.
Sometimes in our darkest hours can unexpected pairings happen. Two unexpected things coming together to create something wonderful. My challenge is to make a card expressing thanks or gratitude using a minimum of 2 mediums. This can be ink and paint, ink and sprays, embossing and paint, etc. Any two mediums of your choice.
For my card I chose to pair up Distress Stains/Inks and Embossing Powder. The thick embossing powder was further paired up with a wood grain stencil. Life might leave us feeling black and blue and red all over, but with the special people to help us through we CAN over come everything.

Ooh, I love your crinkly text leaf, Tabbatha! Always fun to see other languages too - I have a couple of Polish and Russian books I've picked up for that!!
Here's mine, I had great fun with it - I've just edited it to add a direct link to your challenge .
awesome challenge! I used sewing and stamping as my main elements- along with coloring, distressing and paper punches. Added some texture with rough twine and my felt pumpkin. Here's Thanks Friend

Here's my card. I used reinkers with an aqua painter for the background (also blotched with a wipe) and the leaves (which are a little hard to see well in the photo) are done with a home made stencil and dyed embossing paste.

You know, I hate getting dirty actually and with this type of thing it happens a lot. However, I wouldn't go as far as saying as that you have to do mixed media in the true sense of the word. It could be as easy as adding glitter to a stamped image, that is technically two different mediums themselves. Take the idea and just let your creative juices flow.

Unlike Lynn - I love CLEAN mixed media - I love that you can adapt any technique to your own personal style. That's why I love challenges.
I have had a pretty crazy week, and this was the very first time I got to be creative - thank you for inspiring me to take time to do something so fun.
Your sample seriously makes my heart stop - so gorgeous. And I love your bio!
OOPS! I worked so hard to get the different elements in the card - I FORGOT what I was doing. It turned out to be a nice CHRISTMAS card. So...........tomorrow I will make another one, with the correct theme! tfl - - - Tabbatha, thanks for being hostess and for the neat challenge.
This is the card I made for this challenge...I almost always make a camo card when I used distressed inks and I used a brown color for the embossing powder.

I really enjoyed your Bio! I'm honestly not sure if this technically works for your challenge, but the challenge was definitely my inspiration. Thanks for hostessing this month.
