This challenge is specially dedicated to my amazing Sister-in-Love....she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in March and just finished her last chemo treatment. She has recovered well from her double mastectomy although it took a lot out of her. She has the BEST attitude and humor and still thinks of others!! The first time we visited her in the hospital the morning after her first surgery, we brought a very soft blanket gift. Her oldest daughter told us that it is still her favorite gift out of everything she's received so far. It made me think that "comfort" is such a key in recovery.
So this challenge is called A Teddy Bear for my Sister since teddy bears are very much an iconic image of comfort. The challenge is to use a bear on your card/project. Any bear at all! Now of course you get bonus points for having a pop of pink somewhere! ;)
Now to go with this Teddy Bear challenge....I have a very special prize!!! My lovely, talented friend, Katlyn (K. Joy) hand-made this little bear especially for my HYCCT challenge. She's pink, beautiful, and has her own little birth certificate and puppy friend!!! Katlyn is amazingly talented, did I say that already? ;) This sweet little prize will go to my favorite card uploaded to this challenge!!! (a little disclaimer: this is not a toy and is not safe for young children.)
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:

Lee, I am so glad that much of your sister's surgery and treatment is now behind her. I wish her better days ahead. I love the spirit of your wonderful challenge but as I went through my stamp room, no teddies were to be found. I had to get creative and create a little bear with punch art. It is a girl bear as she has a pink collar. Maybe this will inspire someone else who doesn't have a bear stamp. Thanks.
What a wonderful story!! Thanks for sharing. It always makes the challenge a bit more personal to hear stories like this. This bear actually has a bandaid on the face, but I took a baby wipe and removed the ink before I stamped and it worked! I'll have to try that on other stamps too. I had fun with the challenge. Thanks.

No pink for me but maybe Lee sees bears like these in her CO mountains? Stayed in my Masculine/Neutral/Natural mode and made a birthday card for a guy. I did add some glitter pen highlights but you can't see them in my photo. Bear Birthday
I did it again - forgot to post this in the HYCCT gallery. :( But here it is anyway. I was tickled pink to find the Friendship Blooms sentiment - I think it fits perfectly with my happy little bear.
