CAS or Clean and Simple Weekly Challenge
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month and lots of pink showing up all over the place in our card-making....I figured it would be fun to do a color challenge involving PINK! But maybe one a bit more uncoventional.....so how about Pink and Orange?!?!
It really is a super fun and bright and cheerful color combination...sure to bring lots of smiles, especially if you're combining it with one of the HYCCT challenges and sending your card off to the wonderful patients and their friends and families at MD Anderson!!!!!
The gallery for this challenge is: HERE

Thanks Lee, any opportunity to use pink is wonderful to me. Funny, I can't see this color combination without chuckling to myself. For some reason my mom could never get the these colors correct. If she was wearing pink she would call it orange and if she wore orange she called it pink!
I PROMISE I will be commenting soon! We're in the Tetons on vacation right now!!! But I still am able to post challenges and chat cuz I can't go anywhere without my laptop and iPhone! I'm so glad you all are lovin' the challenge....I know it's a bit unusual but i LOVE this color combination!!!!
Just real quick though......jdmommy.....you can NOT do a challenge wrong!!! I promise!!! We are like Lydia.....challenges are awesome jumping-off points and meant to inspire creativity!!!!! I haven't been able to comment yet but I peeked at your card and I LOVE it!!!!!! I am sooooo CASEing your double ribbon technique for the bow!!!!!!
The fence die cut came from Gabby (Gabalot), thank you so much! The bg chalk is in Pink, Orange and Yellow - barely can see it though in the picture. So went with orange and pink flowers as well. This was a great challenge and I enjoyed it!

Fun challenge. I discovered something tonight that I am sure you all know about but, I didn't know you could use a sharpie on glossy paper to heat emboss! Great technique and it opens up a world of embossed colors for me
All of your work is just wonderful! I am having to use whatever paper and other items I have on hand...that means scraps and not many stamps :( These are two colors that I just can't seem to put together either in my head or paper but you gals changed my mind. Unfortunately all I had to work with was NEON colors but I did it anyway. Not pleased but I made myself do it LOL here is were you will see it but be warned...put them sunglasses on first NEON BRIGHT by debbiejeanp - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I love these colors together. Who would have thought and to combine them with the HYCCT1420 challenge, I am in love!!!! I am ready to do more. I made 4 just so I could have more. Here is my card:
I've been making thank you cards for my daughter who is in treatment for breast cancer and experimented with orange and pink last week. My orange is too bright for my pink so didn't keep the attempt. You have all inspired me to try again.
I'm very late to the challenge as I had visitors from out of town for a couple of days and a dog recuperating from surgery so no time for card-making. But here's my card at last:
