Welcome to the 5th annual Hope You Can Cling To challenge and card drive -- we are sooooo thrilled that you are here!! Thank you so much for supporting this amazing event. This is my favorite time of year. This song lyric always pops into my head during Hope You Can Cling To:
m08251.gif Hold on to your breath
Hold on to your heart
Hold on to your hope
It's an extremely chirpy song and I love the positivity of the lyrics. (Do you know where it's found? There's a video clip below!) Through difficult times in my life I have been able to keep pushing through by remembering to breathe, bringing my heart to each day, embracing and feeling my feelings, and holding on to hope. Sometimes we just need something (or someone!) to hold on to. To cling to! It thrills me that some dear ladies at MD Anderson will be holding on to the cards that we send, and soaking in courage.
For my challenge, I would like to see something on your card that we hold on to daily -- a HANDLE.
It can be part of a shaped card (like the handle of a teacup or purse), or appear in a stamped image (like the handle on a wagon, door, coffee mug, or suitcase).
Thank you again for joining us! Please see the details below for sending in your cards. Oh, and by the way -- here's where the song is found!
1. All Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Entries must be uploaded to the Hope You Can Cling To Gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than November 7th, 2014 at 12:00 Noon Central Time to be eligible for our fabulous prizes! Post a link to your entry in this thread.
2. You may not combine challenges, but you are welcome to create multiple cards for each challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Please package all challenge entries with an envelope, protected with a clear plastic bag and mail them to our partner at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their family. We would like for them to receive cards throughout the month of October, but we understand if you'd like to mail all your cards at once.
5. Since these cards will be used by visitors for patients, most should be blank inside, but feel free to send cards with messages of hope for the patients in addition to your challenge cards!

Thank you for participating in this card drive, and thanks to my sample makers, too!
Side note: I did the Wizard of Oz in college and it was kind of interactive so I came out with another girl and we sprinkled the snow on the poppies to wake everyone up.

Here is my stacked tea cup card. I've been meaning to make a card with a tea bag attached to the front for a while now. Glad Dina's challenge reminded me to do it.
A great challenge. Since I love to cycle I chose the bicycle for my handle(bars). We toured Netherlands on bikes in May and there were a lot of bikes with baskets and flowers in them!

Great challenge and I went really EASY on this. Thanks for hosting and for all you do for us. To me 'hanging on' is the same as 'holding on'. My child is holding on to the swing, and the sentiment tells him to hang on!
I don't do any service to your stamp set but it is one that I like. I don't get a great stamped image but I still keep using the stamps...I realize it is me, not the stamp!
So clever, Ms. Dina! Loved this theme! Here's MY CARD.

Whew! I finally got a chance to start in on these challenges! I hope to have more to upload tomorrow, but at least I got a start (we've had some hectic days in my household - DH is just home from the hospital...) Here's my Handle card.
