Hey I have an idea! I could go back to my Target and get the rest of them and then mail them to you. You would be responsible for the shipping.
Let me know if anyone wants me to do that.

What a coincidence...my DH just happens to be at Target right now running some errands...I just gave him a jingle and told him to try to find it for me. I hope it is in the same area of the store where you got yours. I tried to describe it as best as I could...and I told him a price to look for as well. Cross your fingers for me and hope that my DH comes through for his precious wifey.

I have a quick question...
Is this holding the typical 25 yd. rolls? I have several of the huge 100 yd. rolls that I got way cheap thanks to the ladies on this board!! Do you think it would fit? I hate to make the trip to Fayetteville if it won't hold all of my ribbon.
Thanks!!

Lisa,
I think they would fit but not 100%. Do you have dimensions of the 100 yd?

my mom made one very similar for Christmas using a photo box with large gromets

There is a picture on this thread similar to the one my mom made. She even added small eyelets to the end of the box for the smaller widths! She is the best! Got me a storage case for all 48 ink pads and an Ott Lite also!! yeah mom !!!

Default Ribbon organizer to make

How about making a ribbon organizer similar to the design of the one from Target but using your empty inkpad boxes? hummm I am going to try that. I was just going to throw away my boxes yesterday but kept them for when we move next year. I keep all my ribbon in plastic shoe boxes. hummmmm.... I may make slots in the top of the plastic shoe boxes...Oh I am full of ideas now! (I don't have a Target)

YES!!!! I am soooo glad to be back in mainland USA! There is not a Target in Hawaii, so I feel for you ladies who are still there. I'm putting Target on my shopping list. Hopefully there will still be some!
Great find!

I found them between the candles and staionary. They are flat and then you have to snap them together. The title on the package says WRAP ORGANIZER. I have a few left if anyone wants me to send them one.

Another thing you can use for ribbon storage is empty oatmeal boxes. Of course to take one out you'd have to take them all out-unless....you cut a door in the box. I've been waiting til my family eats the rest of the oatmeal. Then decorate anyway you like by attaching decorated wrapping paper.

OH I just got a clever idea!(At least I think) Cut the door in the box. To latch it back, put on a piece of looped ribbon on the door. Then put on a button to hook the ribbon onto. I may just have to empty the oatmeal into a container and try this today.

The larger oatmeal boxes may work for 100yd spools. If not, what about plain plastic containers. You can always attach grommets in the plastic containers.(I have to figure out something since there are no Targets in Hawaii.

Julie,
Thanks for responding so quickly. I got pulled away from the computer last night and am just now checking your post...

The large spools of ribbon are 7.75" in diameter.
Thanks for checking!!
Lisa

I found them finally! Thanks for the excellent description and whoever said SUPER Target...that was the key!

It is so weird how obsessed I get on wanting to find something that you guys talk about. Some one says..."this is great"...and all the sudden I can't live without it...geesh!

I found them this morning!!!! I looked and looked and was about decided I wasn't going to get one. And then just sitting on a end cap shelf were 2 packages. Thanks Julie for describing the packaging so well. I was on the look out for the red. I just put one together and it is so cool. But what I am wondering is this - did you actually get 2 organizers for 5.99? Mine were 2 packages together in another package. Did I hit the jackpot or did yours come 2 in a pack? Now I have 4!!! Yippee!!

Thanks for the Target Alert!!

i've been to two Targets in town w/o success. Boo Hoo!! I've even dreamt about them last night!! Did an internet search and found some nice wooden ones for $40. Went to Target.com again w.o success. Then I tried everyone's favorite EBAY!!! And I found it!! Granted I'm going to keep searching my local Target stores but I thought I would share the Ebay notice with you! One - it has an actual picture of the box (scroll down to the bottom of thte listing) Two - I thought it would be fun to watch how high a price she gets on this item!!!
