CNY Binghamton, NY August 23, 2014CNY Stampers Get Together
Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Christ Church Henry St Binghamton, NY 13901
Do join us at our next Central New York Stampin' Get Together -- a full day of stamping fun!
Cost – $25.00 per person. Registrations must be paid no later than 5 pm on July 21. Mail registration form and payment to me (info is in the registration form). There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else.
There is a lot of info to digest but reading through it should help answer many questions. If any clarification is needed, just ask. This is our main way to communicate with you and we are here to help! You will find final counts and other important info here once the event is closed.
Mandatory Table Project (aka “shoebox”) –Since there are only 9 participants, we will each prep 2 projects. At the end of the day you will each have 16 new cards. Please prepare 9 kits of each project and please provide basic written instructions since you won’t be there with your project. Your project stays stationary; you’ll do the moving.
This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s)and should *NOT* take more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. So, just to say it another way: Bring 3 completed projects + make up 9 packets of materials **in kits** to make your project. Extra parts to fix any "oops" should also be provided. We will each bring 2 shoeboxes, since we have such a small group
Please use only quality products and make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself.
NOTE: Because you will be switching tables, but your projects staying behind, it is CRITICAL that you provide basic directions for your project unless it is VERY obvious . Please include your name and SCS name as well Thank you!
Swaps – ALL SWAPS ARE OPTIONAL. You’ll know how many to make when we post the final counts, and you’ll have plenty of notice since the deadline is 4 weeks in advance of the event.
NVR Card Front Swap -
Recipe Swap –
Technique Swap
2.25 Flashback Swap*
ATC Swap –
SU! Demo Quality* Swap –
*This means only current SU! products can be used but you don’t need to be a demonstrator to participate.
Food – Please indicate on the registration form the specific food item you will bring to share. Please don’t just say “food” or “whatever you need”. Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts and snacks. We love to try your homemade food specialties! Bottled water and coffee will be provided. BYO soda if you want it.
“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk
Door Prizes – Still hoping to have one for everyone so donations from our group are most welcome. Let me know if you’d like to make a door prize donation and what it is. Our participants are always so generous! We will be awarding the +1’s from all of the swaps as well as the two sets of extras from the shoebox projects as door prizes. We’ll have another 50/50 raffle to support this for next time as well.
Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a gift related to our stamping passion. Everyone who brings a gift to swap will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. Wrap it up prettily to encourage “stealing”. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
Other – Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.

6 ?? MYSTERY GUEST
apparently the "MODS" wiped out my other thread. Does anyone remember the ID of the newbie that wanted to join us? I think she was from the Binghamton area.
I even went thru my old posts, because I had specifically asked her where she was from, she never answered.
I hope enough people sign up for this event since I will not be going to Syracuse in November! I signed up to take a class from Marjie Kemper at the Ink Pad in NYC. I'll have to take the 3am bus down since the next one get's there too late. eh, I'll just have to bring my pillow. (and a book!) (or two!)

Hi guys! before I do totals, since there are so few of us, does anyone want to change and get in on any of the swaps? Technique and Recipes are in jeopardy, because I said we needed 6 to run each. I'll give you until Thursday to let me know.
Gayla, I assume you are in for all, still need your form.
Important info on PARKING!!!!!
There is a bicycle race going past the church that day. The secretary feels we should be okay in the parking ramp across the street (I'm not sure) Link to race schedule map of race
on this map, the church is the large building, just below the Henry of Henry Street
to the left of the church is a parking ramp and there are other parking ramps nearby.
