We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
I am posting a bit later than usual because we are at the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City (it's tons of fun too). I haven't forgotten about our Saturday challenge though! This weeks inspiration site is Country Curtains. This is a wonderful site where you'll find many types of home dcor items, with a focus on window curtains and window adornments that are soft, sweet, cozy and most of all very inspirational! (Note to SU fans: I will be posting quite a bit of SU inspirations next weekend when I have my crafting room back - PROMISE!)
Challenge Goals:
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Country Curtains site.
Use the keyword: IC450 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites...so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
I took the overall feel from the Aviary collection for my card!
Thank you, Audrie. I saw some other lovely photos, but I have to practice some songs for an ordination service next week, so that's my stamping time all used up for today.
I have a couple of dies to create flip cards, but I wanted to try the tutorial on this week's Weekly Inklings, making a flip card from a non-flip-card die. Today's lovely IC site had lots of inspiration for me to use. Thanks, Audrie! Here's my card:

Reason: fixing link
Audrie- awesome site! As I am in the Country mode, working on a quilt, I was able to scurry around and find felt and fabric, sewn together into a house. I added a star shaped brad for an embellishment- this is a thank you gift from a stay at a friend's house. I was inspired by the Cottage Garden Lined Tier Curtains- here's From Our House To Yours

Audrie- hope you are having fun at the convention, we can't wait to see your new goodies!! I was inspired by the Lace Curtains Honeybee and made this mouse and bee card, stitching down the left side, and adding a tulip border, moving the embossing folder twice to grab the smaller card edges. Bee came from cardboard packaging from my new keychain. Here's Bee Loved
