If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Penelope Perkins is as girly a girl as you would ever meet. She loved frilly dresses and dolls and tiaras and Minnie Mouse. Penelope could play house or princess or teaparty for hours. Her favorite color of course is pink.
2. Although there are 42,000 children in her hometown of Mannville, Penelope is the only girl! In every home, there are baseball bats and wrestling mats, frogs and snails and puppydog tails. Swingsets and sandboxes, mudpuddles and leaf piles are the destinations of choice for playtime. Bugs and reptiles are treasures to be shared.
3. How it happens Ill never know, but little boys always seems to come to the conclusion that girls have cooties. The boys of Mannville decided to open a chapter of the He Man Woman Haters Club. They outlawed everything that a sweet little girl might loveno frills, no rhinestones, no teaparties and no pink!!
4. Poor Penelope she has always wished for a little girl BFF but was content to pretend. As long as she could dress her teddy bears in gingham and lace, or don a frilly frock she was happy. But now she was a kiddie criminal if she did. Sobbing, Penelope placed all of her dainty pink clothing away. How could those boys be so unfair? Boys dont be unlucky, for girls are not yucky. Girls can be so witty and oh, pink is pretty!
Teapotters, you know just what to dosend in the girl power!!! We need frilly, we need lace, but most of all, we need pink!! Pink fabric, pink papers, pink twine and pink inkwhatever you can find that would tickle a little girl well, tickle her pink!
