Yay, a new Mix-Ability challenge!! We hope you're having fun with these! Each time we post a new challenge, it makes me push myself just a little bit more in my art. We hope you're finding this whole process inspiring, as well as approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!
For this week's challenge, use some kind of packaging on your project, either as a tool or a layer.
There are lots of ways you could interpret this challenge - here are just a few ideas to get your creative wheels turning:
Use a piece of clear flat plastic packaging as an overlay, or create a Faux Glass embellishment.
Stencil through a plastic mesh onion or orange bag.
Die cut shapes from a cereal box to add to your project or create a chipboard stencil.
Add interest to your background by stamping with plastic wrap, bubble wrap, or crumpled paper.
Use the liner of a business envelope for a card layer.
Stamp with corrugated cardboard, or use it as a layer on your project.
Alter the tag from a new purchase.
Alter an empty tin, box, or other container.
Make a wall hanging from a pop-top lid.
Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HERE for a list of supplies you could choose from. If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy!
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX74) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh! Go forth and create!
Since I need one more Christmas card this month I'm determined to work that in with this challenge which sounds like great fun. On the other hand, I just rescued some ribbon a d gorgeous lining paper from a ox of chocolates in work yesterday...
Choices, choices! ! Hopefully I'll have made a decision before I get home from work. Thanks, Dina.

Here's mine : MIX74 Christmas Package
Actually, I got up early and got all the pieces for cutting out stamped and took them to work. I even got the base layer stamped with my packaging, too, so I was able to get most of it stuck together in work except the bits I needed tweezers for.
But then when I got home life got totally crazy, so I'm only getting to photograph and upload it now.
Dina, what a fabulous idea he has come upon. How these little shelters must be appreciated!!! Nothing wasted here.

First time in a while I've had to just slow down & play so I combined a sketch challenge with a this mix challenge (Mix74). Made a stamped background using bubble wrap & Memento inks. Used a die cut swirl for 1 of my layers. Here's my card:
