My challenge you this week is to create a card/project with any type of liquid glue and at least one kind of medium, acrylic, Gesso, Ink, etc. I think its so fun to see the result of how the glue create different patterns every time!
You can use any liquid glue you want! If you have a hot glue gun it dries fast but it works fine with other liquid glue, you only have to wait a bit longer for it to dry!
Tips!
1. Just create a pattern with your liquid glue, let it dry and then color it with Ink Sprays, Watercolors, crayons etc. Add color to the glue strings if you want, use acrylic, gesso ink pads etc.
2. You can also follow the lines of a stamped image and add dimension to your work that way.
Hope you find this challenge fun and Im looking forward to see your creativity!
We hope you're having fun with these challenges! Our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it !
If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal, instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy!
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX70) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can see it!
Oooh this was so much fun - I felt like a little kid again! I used Matte Accents (Glossy Accents' less flamboyant sister) to draw my ginkgo leaves. Thanks, Birgit for a great challenge and all those yummy samples!
That fourth sample has me mesmerised! Having read your write-up, I'll try something with white glue later over the weekend.
In the meantime, I certainly did have fun using my hot glue gun as resist on this: MIX70 Chicken Dance
Here is my Thank You Butterfly. I had fun with the glue art, but just wasn't very creative today.
Thank you for the challenge. I used glue and pearl ex from stash, that was just sitting there for years! Can't remember why I had that glue, but since it was fast drying, it was perfect!
I do apologize for the picture.. It is a dull day and the color is not true at all... BUT I need to post it today..... Loved the challenge.. I will do more trees in the future.. sure gives them texture......
Love whqt every one is doing....
I played with this technique last night using white school glue on watercolor paper. I was surprised to discover that the glue actually absorbed more ink than the paper. Went to work with blue fingers this morning.
Can't wait to give this a try with the glue gun.
