Hiya everyone!!! Hope you all are ready for a technique that will help you expand your embossing folders to new limits!!!
I found a fun technique that was recently featured in our tutorials section here on SCS. The lovely Girlgeek101 gave a great tutorial on how to stamp with your embossing folders. What??? Stamp with your embossing folders??? YES YES YES I will be doing this fun technique. Most of my embossing folders are 6x6 which means I have like 50+ giant background stamps now. Thank you Girlgeek101 for finding another use for all of theses fun embossing plates and folders!
Lets see you all pull out paint and ink and turn those embossing folders and plates into stamps!!! I cannot wait to see what you all make!!! Let's get crafty!!!
I watched this tutorial today, and now I know I just have to create a card using this method! I also went to Mike's and got 2 new ef's......so I'm ready! Will need to wait till tomorrow though. Looks so fun~

Jenn, this was a fun technique. Here's my card.

Cool challenge, Jenn. (Big congratulations, too, on the DD ).
It's funny, I've often stamped with my texture plates over the years because they're great for my favourite square cards, but till I saw the tutorial in the Inkling I hadn't thought of using embossing folders too. Monday's a busy day for me but I hope to be along with something in a couple of days. (I did, finally, upload a card with your ribbon flower just last week, LOL).
Thanks, Jenn, for a wonderful new technique! I've seen this used on some cards in the gallery for backgrounds and was intrigued. I love the possibilities. I used a border EF for my Dragonfly card

Jenn- Awesome Challenge! I used Sizzix's Snowburst for my background, and added filmy ribbon and "coral" for my fish. Finished with a clear sentiment. Here's Dream

thanks for the fun challenge, will have to try it again after re-watching the video. Here is my " Spritzed TY ".

I saw Carol's card with the bricks (which I love by the way!) - and thought I want to try this. after a couple of tries, I figured it out. Viola - this is what I came up with. This was really fun!!

Thank you! I tried this wonderful technique. Not real happy with mine, but will try again some time. I think I didn't like my colors. And my spritz didn't sparkle very much.
Here is My Day.
I've never done one of these Technique challenges, and I had fun with this! That's an SU EF inked with dye ink under all the stuff I put on my card (I know the tutorial was all about Clean and Simple, but a Clean and Simple gal I just am not). Anyway, here's mine:

This was a really fun technique. Yesterday when I tried it I did the whole folder, and while I liked the papers that I got doing that, I wanted a slightly different look, so I kept at it until I got the look I wanted. Here are my cards using this technique: CC479 congratulations by MariLynn - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I have been wanting to try this out. Thanks Jenn for the inspiration. I think I may have got carried away with the spritzing, but you can make out the pattern in some places. Anyway, it creates a pretty background. Here is my take.
