Default Difference in Stampin pads?

This is probably a silly question but I was wondering what the difference is between the Classic Stampin Ink Pad and the Craft Stampin Pad. :?

The classic pads are dye ink and the craft are pigment inks. The craft pads are good for heat embossing and great for scrapbooking because they are archival safe, acid free, and fade-resistant. They are very wet and take a while to dry, unless you use a heat tool to set them. They color stays on top of the paper, rather than soaking into it like the classic pads. The classic pads are great for watercoloring. I hope that helps. I have all 48 in both the classic and craft and I love them all

Default Stampin pads

Hi Cathy Marie,

Yes, thanks! That does explain it perfectly. I'm working on getting all of the colors too and only have the classic type so far. I'll have to start getting a few of my favorites in the craft style for when I emboss.
Thanks for your help

Joanne

here are some more threads that will give you info on the differences:

If you have questions on a specific subject go to forums and then search. Type in a few keywords (in this case classic craft difference*) and click "search all terms"
It will bring up a lot of good threads for you to search. Sometimes you have to play with the wording until you find the right one to answer your question.

Whenever you have a question it is a good idea to do your own search first-chances are the answer is waiting for you already.

I hope this isn't stealing the thread but I think this question is along the same line and I have searched on here and can't find the answer. How can both the classic and craft pad use the same refill if it is different inks? :?

Thanks,
Kay

You do not use the same refill for both, there is a classic refill and a craft refill. The classic refills are $2.50 and the craft refills are $3.95. They can be found on pages 202-203 of the current SU catty.
