I'm not sure if this has been asked before.
For me, it is absolutely mandatory that my TV is tuned in to an old movie on Turner Classic Movies or reruns of Gunsmoke (the black and white ones, not the color). I have a friend that catches up on her recorded shows. Could any of us actually craft in silence? Hmmm...I don't think I could.
What about snacks? I'm soooo glad I weaned myself off Pringles! Gosh...it was pretty bad there for a while.
I usually like it quiet when I'm stamping. Somehow TV or music can be too distracting for me when I'm concentrating on stamping. At work I cannot have music on either because it's overload with phones ringing, copiers running, my husband and employee and customers talking (we own a printing business) and my hearing changing as I get older. I stamp in the kitchen so food and drink are easy to get.
Music! I play either KLOVE (Christian contemporary) or WQED FM (classical) on my iPad. I actually really love hard rock but I can't create to it for some reason. Too distracting. A mug of hot green tea is nice, but not necessary.
I have to have the tv on. I only watch mystery or true crime stories. Dh thinks I am crazy because I deal with stuff like that all day in my job. I don't eat or drink while making a card.
No music or TV for me, DH keeps TV on all the time so it's a joy to be in my craft room with no noise. I sometimes have a glass of ice water and some M&M's to snack on but I usually get up every hour to move around and then go into the kitchen for a snack.
Music and a Dr Pepper by my side is about all I require for most situations My craft room is 1/2 craft room, 1/2 home office so I can play Pandora on my computer while crafting and I am one happy lady!!

If I am home alone, I put on the TV with the ABC24 News station that we have here in Australia because I rarely catch up with the evening news. If I feel like listening to music instead, I will put on Eva Cassidy. I used to have a cup of coffee when I was at my craft desk when I crafted until one day, I knocked it over my "just finished" card along with all sorts of cardmaking stuff littering my desk! Uggh  Decided to never have a drink at my desk again! I am a super-clumsy person though - always tripping, slipping, burning, cutting and bumping myself - no co-ordination! I don't eat anything as I just know I would eat too much because I would be concentrating on my card rather than noticing how much I was eating.
My fizzy, flavored ice cold water and ... Big Bang Theory! *laugh* Trying to catch up on old seasons. I do occasionally sneak in a glass of wine ... and if I'm not watching TV then classic Rock & Roll is blasted throughout the room.
Audio books are my fave or sometimes old movies I've watched previously. My stamping area is down in the basement and we have an old console TV with a VCR so I pick up cheap VHS movies at thrift stores all the time. I also have a tape deck that I listen to books on tape with. It is much cheaper to stay with obsolete devices as I pick up things to watch or listen to for less $$ which leaves me with more $$ for crafting!
Then, when I've screwed something up for the umpteenth time and I am banging my head against the desk in utter frustration, no one seems to take notice - they just think I'm rockin' out! And if it gets to that point, substitute coffee with something a little 'harder'!

Hand over the chocolate, and no one will get hurt!
If it is night I'll have TV on for background noise, but daytime is always music. No eating while I work on cards but I love my flavored seltzer waters!
I put on youtube and find a playlist of stamprooms or a playlist of Stampin' Up! projects. During the day it is coffee and in the evening it is wine. I don't usually have a snack.

Why can't every day be a crafty day?
I have the tv on in the background, normally either 48 hours, or Criminal Minds or something to do with death and destruction but I tend not to really watch it, its more background noise and a bottle of water.
A cup of tea and my two Maltese, they sit on the desk and help me craft and drink the tea. and either an audio book or something from netflix on the computer. Often my husband John will sit with me and listen or watch whatever he wants and we keep each other company.

Pandora Radio listening to one of 'my stations'. This could be classical, jazz, classic rock, Brazilian samba, new wave, or English invasion ...........

tea or sparkling water or plain bottled water and anything Van Morrison and my latest love is Zucchero an Italian rocker.....(that's as in rock star not the chair lol)
I have no requirements really... but I do like having a slightly interesting documentary on, one where it is interesting enough to listen to, but not SO interesting that I want to get up and go LOOK at the monitor to see what's going on.
I like to either have the TV or Netflix on in the background while I craft. Surprisingly, I don't get distracted. I like to have a drink - either coffee, diet coke or ice water - but I keep it far away from my project.

One diet coke a day, then water. Funny, but when I used to make jewelry I always had to have tv or audio book. With card making I find myself too easily distracted. I go with quiet most often, occasionally Pandora radio.
NPR and coffee or iced tea. I have one of those great cup holders that Creative Memories sold that attach to the edge of your table, so no spills. Otherwise I'd have a mess 'cause I'm m a klutz.

Gotta have some music when I stamp....it's usually blues or classic rock, fairly loud and if I'm really in the zone I'll be moving with the music (I like to stand up when I stamp).
I like to have a drink like coffee, soda, or ice water nearby. My computer monitor sits on top of my inkpad holders on my desk, so I like to have either Hulu, Netflix, or Vudu playing while I stamp or organize my supplies.
Coffee in the morning and quiet...later I'll switch to ice tea and KLOVE radio on Tune in, but I can only listen for so long....I need the silence so I can hear myself think

Oh, that's a fab idea - I will have to see if I can find something like that for me
