Sorry sorry sorry for the late post this morning. Life sort of got in the way of my guest hosting this week ... but I am so glad to be guest hosting with you today.
AIGA Design Archives is one of the richest online resources available to those who practice, study and appreciate great design. It represents the quality of work being created, as well as shifting aesthetics and sensibilities of the designers of the day. Included in this resource are more than 20,000 selections from AIGAs annual juried design competitions dating from 1924 through the present.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, Ive uploaded five of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.
The rest of you, remember to let us know which design from AIGA Design Archives that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC436 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Stef, what a fun site! Here's my card and my inspiration for it.

I was inspired by the Nick Jr. Boosters with its radiating lines, and central animal figure. I used SU's Serene Spring for my bunny and basket, and added some gold paper to pick up the basket tones. My folded fabric accent is attached with a vintage hat pin, and a button/tie combo. Here'e Blue and Gold

Welcome back, Stef....good to see you again. Your chosen site offered so much...and something for everyone. I enjoyed looking at the award-winning designs. Thanks.
Stef- came back to make a second card, this time with an industrial theme. I was inspired by The Knot Exhibition - I used a faux wood grain moving day card, and added a test tube, and beaker from Inkadinkado's Test Tubes stamp set, along with labels. Finished with a polka dot bow. Here's Lab Award Congrats - dedicated to our 2 college kids

I would have loved to do a retro card to go with those colors, but that's just not how it went. My bicycle image really lent itself to a different approach.
Fun challenge!
