Found the link for this on Pinterest. You enter the dimensions for the size of the box you want to make, press "Calculate" and it comes back with the size of paper you need and where to make your punches and scores.

I have found another amazing calculator for envelopes and boxes. It can be used in centimetres or inches.

It requires Microsoft Excel to make it run.

I think it mght be stored on Dropbox but on both my computers (a Mac and a PC) it downloaded automatically when I clicked on the link in the email.

Try selecting the link in the email and right-click and select Copy Hyperilnk (or Copy) then right-click in the address bar of your browser. If you get the option to 'Paste and go' choose that. If not just select paste then click the return key.

It should download the file.

This is fabulous!!! Thanks so much for posting these links. Here's what I did today to make this easier - I cut a strip of Stampin Up grid paper and made an extension ruler. I used a glue stick to attach it to a strip of heavy card stock (100 lb). Then I scored the end at 3/8" to make a little stand and applied Dotto to the back for a temporary adhesive. I tested out the crafty owl site and it worked great!

I just tried the link to "the crafty owl" mentioned above and can't get it to work. If you indicate that you want it to calculate the measurements in inches, you get a drop-down box that only goes to 7/8". So...I used two of my rulers together to calculate what the measurements would be in "mm" (millimeters). When clicked to calculate, it asked me to enter the measurements, which were already entered. This looks like a great tool if only I could get it to work. Has anyone else tried this? What am I doing wrong?

Silly me...I just figured it out. What a great tool, LOL! Here's what you need to know. Let's assume you want the measurements in inches, and that you want a box to hold A2 cards that is 1" deep with a 1/4" allowance for the cards. You enter just the whole numbers in the boxes, then use the drop-down box to finish the measurement. Important: What they call "Depth," we call "Length," and what we call "Depth," they call "Height."

For an A2 box, enter 4 for "Box Depth." In the drop-down box, click on 1/2. In the "Box Width," enter 5, and click on 3/4" in the drop-down. In the Box Height, enter 1. Click "Calculate," and voila!

Thanks Linda, I was trying to figure out those terms for an A2 box. Wasn't making sense to me.
