Stamp-n-Storage LOVEFEST 2014 Challenge
Welcome to the Splitcoaststampers Member Company LOVEFEST!
Challenge Title: The joys, benefits and challenges of crafting OCD!
Keyword: LOVEFEST2014D
Date: Monday, February 17, 2014
It’s OK to admit it - we all have a little OCD in us, and some much more than others. At Stamp-n-Storage we’re here to take the “dis” out of disorder and get your craft areas and studios very orderly. The great thing is, being more orderly can also result in much more creativity!
Check out this POST we put on our Member Company Forum yesterday. It shares the story of a fellow Splitcoast member and how she has much more fun with crafting now that she’s organized.
What about you?
CHALLENGE : For LOVEFEST 2014, our challenge to you is to share your story!
Whether you’ve got it all figured out or if you’re just starting the organization battle, tell us about it! Post a picture or two along with a brief summary of your storage success, your problems (it might be your whole space, or it might be a specific area that's giving you fits) or how getting organized has helped you.
You'll have until Monday, March 3rd at noon Central to share your challenge entries. Each of our Member Companies will have a prize to award, and at the end of the event, we'll have great prizes to award to 10 of our fabulous Challenge Queens who have completed all 11 event challenges. Cool, huh?
Upload your pictures with short explanation to your Member Gallery and use today's keyword to play along. We'd love for you to share a link to your photo and your short story in the comments below so we can celebrate each of your successes and encourage your efforts.
We can't wait to see what you do!
VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGEHERE
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All LOVEFEST entries must be uploaded with the specific challenge keyword, no later than March 3, 2014 at 12:00 Noon Central Time to be eligible for our fabulous prizes! Post a link to your entry in this thread.
2. You may not combine LoveFest challenges, but you are welcome to combine LoveFest cards with our daily challenges, or create multiple cards for each challenge!
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.

What a great idea... I love storage tips and I am sure we can all use a few more ideas in our stamp spaces... Big or Small... I recently solved two issues that I had... Read about them here...

I moved the Christmas stuff from this narrow hallway table in January, and just transitioned my ribbons and some embellies to this location. I really like being able to see all my ribbons- and there's a decent pair of scissors dedicated to this area I still have to figure out how to organize my dies, embossing folders and designer papers! It's been a bit of a challenge since downsizing to a 2 bedroom apartment last summer. Here's Julia's Ribbon Central

While I've been VERY tempted by the stamp and store products, I've a limited space and a variety of ink pads. I used to keep them stowed in bins, all jumbled up, but sorted by color and function. When my collection of memento products got big enough, and I realized that I was using them more than any of the other inks, I went in search of a transparent, slim, easy access storage solution. The segmented drawer divider in the domestics department of a big-box store caught my eye. Thinking outside the box, I turned the drawer divider on its side, sorted the standard pads by color. It fits perfectly on my stamping desk, leaning against the wall. The matching dew drops, markers and re-inkers are in prism cases on the shelf above the desk.

Hotwheels - You can just share your best storage ideas or your biggest organization problem. A picture is great, but a description is just fine, too!

I was frustrated trying to store my stamps, so I removed my fancy perfumes from my tall wooden bookcase in the bathroom- and replaced them with SU DVD style cases, with bare rubber stamps sorted by topic (ex: dogs- Canine Capers). It's convenient and the bookcase serves dual duty as the bathroom paper goods are stored in the lower closed cabinet area. Here's LOVEFEST2014D SU Stamp Central A little messy- but it works great for me!

I just started re-organizing my cling/clear stamps based on Jennifer McGuire's system with the Avery Elle stamp pockets but that is not ready to be photographed. So instead, here is my solution for copic sketch markers.

This is my stamp storage system...not my idea, but it works very well for me. It's very inexpensive and holds a lot of stamps.

This is what my Cuttlebug area looks like when it is clean!
Cuttlebug Space 2014 by kramomma - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I would like to figure out a storage for punches as currently they are in baskets with some hanging on the edge of basket as it is easier to use them if I can see the size!

I just looked through the gallery for this challenge and I just wanted to thank all of you ladies for a lot of WONDERFUL storage ideas! I have a very small craft space (the room is approximately 10x10) that I share with a small computer desk and a file cabinet. Visibility is always an issue (who can use things they can't see or find) and I've now got some wonderful ideas to try to implement in the near future!

I'm constantly tweaking my organization (isn't everyone?), and I'm always on the lookout for non-stamping items to use in new ways. My latest find is what I shared for this challenge - Medicine Shelf Organizer

I'm so far from satisfied with my organization, but I know that the things I do have a place for have a far greater chance of getting put away. How can I put something away if there isn't a designated place for it? Still working on creating a place that will be a joy to work in rather than something where I feel overwhelmed the moment I arrive. Here's some of what I've done so far.
