Default Cards for Colin on his 11th birthday
Hello all!
I came across this tonight and thought I'd share it here in the hopes some of you may be interested in sending this fella' a birthday card for his 11th birthday.
From the news site:

"A Michigan mom asks her son if he would like to have an 11th birthday party. His response broke her heart. Young Colin, who is diagnosed with a disorder similar to autism, told her "there's no point. I have no friends." Colin's mom says kids at school don't include him and he even eats lunch alone in the office everyday.

Colin's mom decided to create a birthday Facebook page, Happy Birthday Colin, to show her son just how many people cared about him. So far, the page has over 50,000 likes and has gained worldwide attention."

As of a couple of hours ago, this page has 1.5 million likes (one of which is mine), and a card is going out in the mail! Well, as soon as I can clear my way thru the snow to the mailbox.

This is what's called "viral", and I'm so glad for Colin's sake (and his Mom's).

Dang, it's up to 1.4 million likes now!

edited to add: oh wow! I went to sleep a few hours ago and came back and typed the above without refreshing the screen. Wow! 1.5 million!

My card is on its way from Southern Calif. (Husband just had surgery today so might take a day). Going to tell my stamping friends to do the same!

My son, Jake (who is 10) and I will be sending Colin a card.

Jake is on the spectrum for autism so this is a special story for us :p
