TLC465 ~ White Craft Watercolour on Kraft ~ {1/20/14}
Hello
Thanks for joining me for another TLC!
Lately I've been going back to my roots. Meaning creating clean and simple cards and using techniques from when I first became a SU! demo years ago.
I used to LOVE to colour with my aqua painter. I was never good at it but it was fun! LOL!
I've been seeing a lot of colour washing being done and thought it was time to pull out my aqua painter once again.
For this technique I'd like to see you use KRAFT/CRUMB CAKE as your base for your images.
Basic instructions are:
Stamp your image onto cardstock and emboss in White.
You can then colour your image with an aqua painter and any ink you like OR for a little more of a pop of colour....
Colour your image in white craft ink(be sure to let dry for several hours or use your heat gun to set). Then colour with your aqua painter and any ink you like ;)
You can see by my samples that the white colour washed has a darker image.
Love this technique, Dawn. Thanks for bringing it back to life.

Dawn- great challenge! I was able to quicken the drying time with my heat gun, so my image was ready to color and aqua paint right away. Added some ribbons for embellishments. This is dedicated to my family- we had the nicest Christmas with us all home Here's Winter Snowflake

My goal is to do more challenges here on SCS. More than anything, it's getting in the habit of checking the challenges. Here's my first of the year:
So Very Grateful - Valentine

I have never cased a card from the challenge gallery for my challenge card before, but today I did a little. I fell in love with Sallie's Krafty Daisies and just had to case it a little. I will go back and do flowers another time. But here's my card for #465:Toad You - TLC465 by pvilbaum - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
