I just want to say ...
I've seen some wonderful random acts of kindness on these forums lately. So many people are giving tips and instructions, as well as supplies and hand-made items, to others whom they've never met. That's the reason I keep coming back here. Although there are a few members who aren't very nice at all, those are few and far between; and they are far outnumbered by those who are kind-hearted and generous. Thanks for making this a place I enjoy visiting every day.

This is one of the friendliest forums I've been to.
Thanks to everyone here for making it a fun place, even though you've enabled me to spend money...;)

i just want to say
I have to second that...i dont want to put the wonderful gals name on here as I dont have her permission, but I responded to a link awhile back about christmas gifts...my husband and I didnt exchange this year which was ok, but a VERY kind crafter responded to me and sent me a WONDERFUL crafting carry bag....I was blown away by her kindness, as well as my crafting friends..I am paying her kindness forward, and hope other will do the same. This is the first place I come to when I have a problem or question....what would we do without each other? I "world" of perfect strangers.

I must say, everyone on here has been very nice. I was a Facebook junkie up until a few days ago. Everyone has been asking me where I have been. LOL. I tell them I am hooked on Split Coast Stampers.... They probably think I'm weird but oh well. I love to scrapbook and I am getting a pretty good stamp collection going. I have learned a lot just in these few days. Thanks everyone!
My daughter is a Stampin Up demonstrator and I am looking into getting into something myself. TAC and CTMH have some wonderful products, just still trying to figure out which one is the best for me.

I love this board but rarely post (i'm shy ;) ). There is so much "love" and admiration here. The advice, tips and techniques that I have found here so far has been invaluable to me. I'm addicted to this board and constantly have it "hidden" behind my in-progress spreadsheets and documents at work! Thanks for starting this thread and thanks, everybody, for all of the comraderie!

Please keep this thread going. It's so nice to read such positive comments. One of the nicest things that anyone has done for me on SCS happened just recently. I had asked if anyone knew where to buy Bic Mark It markers individually, since one of mine had dried out. A very kind member offered to send me the color I needed absolutely free. She didn't even want me to pay for the shipping. (Not to mention how nice my BFF was too. ) :-D
Mluxenberg, what part of NYC are you from? I'm from the Bronx.

I absolutly agree that there are so many nice, thoughtful and kind members here on SCS. I wanted to share that while I had a very bad incident happen over on the B/S/T forum (seller scammed 30+ SCS members), I had the pleasure of talking and "meeting" almost all of them through that situation. Had this not happened I probably would have never gotten to know these people or one of the most awesome moderators we have here on SCS! ;) Our case is still pending and we continue to band together as a group. We have wonderful cheerleaders (suppoters not actual victims) that keep us smiling and inspired! SCS is another form or extention of family...we stick together!
You all have awesome stories, I can't wait to read more! Thanks for starting this thread Jeanette! What a wonderful idea!

I totally agree! This is a wonderful board full of caring, giving people. I've had at least 3 people send me free goodies (stamps, embellishments, stamped images) and I got an awesome deal on a scor pal for only $18! I've learned so much from the ladies here too. I love this board!

ITA ... plus I've also made many friends (real and cyber). The sharing and friendship here is wonderful and I spend many hours here.
Well said and a great thread (and I didn't say that 'coz you're my BFF and responsible - at least according to DH - for my obsession :-D)
Let's keep it going!
Happy Crafting!

recently a sweet lady here has helped me with finding some digital images..I am new to it and I am amazed that she took so much time and so many PMs to assist me. The ladies here for the most part are very very kind and caring.

I love my SCS friends. I have a lovely collection of cards and images sent to me. Mostly you guys are there when I have those few moments at the end of the day. I appreciate the inspiration, creativity and kindness flying around this site. :-)))) Happy Friday to all.

This sounds just like me! I visit the forums several times a day and although I have not posted much I am always astounded by the warmth and generosity I read about. I have recently taken the plunge and became an SU demo and I love knowing that there is a great support group of people I can turn to when I have questions! Happy Stamping! BTW my other addiction is facebook and I have joined the SCS group there also. :-)

Generosity
There is a running joke between me and my niece - we are officially the "Hedgehogs". She has been having a hard time being away from home and adjusting to being away at school. I wanted to send her cards with hedgehogs to cheer her up. I was gifted images of hedgehogs when my friend put out the word to her friends who had SU hedgehog stamps. This brightened my day and my niece's day. She always contacts me when she receives a hedgehog card amazed that I found such an image.
There is an Italian saying that translates: do a bad thing it comes back to you 10 times, do a good thing and it comes back to you 100 times.
May the generous kindhearted ladies who stamped and sent me those images have their kindness repaid 100 times.
:-D

I have made 3 wonderful cyber friends on here, one about 2 hours down the road from me, one halfway across the country and one "across the pond". You guys know who you are, and I appreciate your support and caring. I have received cards from each of these ladies, and I treasure them. One of these ladies sent me a stamp after I commented on one of her cards, saying I wish I had purchased the stamp while it was still available. And from the same lady, I received the most beautiful beaded snowflake ornament, and a few days later, received two packages of the wire forms so I could make my own. And some stamped images so I could get a head start on my Christmas cards this year.
Thanks for starting this thread so I could publicly acknowledge these wonderful women!

Each time I visit SCS I am always so amazed at the generosity, helpfulness and talent. I don't post much (shy and busy...lol) and I'm always nervous particularly when I post a new thread/question. I always feel like my low post count and lack of gallery stick out like a scarlet letter....lol. But I have always received helpful responses. As a bonus, one sweet lady shopped and sent me a stamp I was looking for. And one member sent me a couple of pm's that were so friendly. What a wonderful 'spirit' this place has.
Happy Valentine's Day to all. Thank you.

I love this site, I dont go on the chat part of the forum only the information and tips sections. I find it so much better organised and informative than any forum I have been on in th UK. Plus you ladies are so friendly and helpful. On our forums they talk about animals a lot and their illnesses and while I sympathise I dont really want to know these things. I want to learn about crafting. Gill

YUP, I love this site too and spend the majority of my personal computing time right here! I'd probably get more cards made if I got off this site, but I just love it here. Ok, my story...a couple of years ago, I posted about Stickles and not having them, yet, and looking forward to trying them. Well, an awesome lady here on SCS, went and bought me several in sets of 3 colors and sent them to me! She had found them for just a few $/pack and PMed me asking if I was interested. I sent her the money for them, but this was such an awesome gesture of kindness!

We chatted a bit back and forth and I asked her how she got so many comments on her cards and laughed about how I was secretly jealous...Do you know what this sweet gal did???? She went to my gallery and left me a ba-zillion comments on my recent works!!!!!!!!!! And not just things like "Cute" I mean these really sweet and thoughtful comments! Wasn't that amazingly nice???

I have had a least 2 people nice enough to send me stamps. Someone sent me a cute owl stamp from Michaels. I could not find it here and she had an extra. So sweet. Then just recently, I posted a thread about how I could not believe I did not have a good to/from stamp. A sweet person said she would send me one she did not use. She did not just send the to/from, she sent the whole set! I have in turn tried to pay it forward, sending on some of my extra stamps.
And I am always amazed at how willing people are to help each other out with a question about something stamp related or non-stamp related. Post a question and within minutes you have someone willing to help.

When I was shopping for a craft forum years ago, I found others to be littered with nasty threads of meanness. SCS stood out as different. People were helpful instead of mocking when newbies asked questions. SCSers embraced different styles, not just what was popular or new. Best of all, I saw kindness after kindness in every forum here. I've "met" the nicest people here and have formed some amazing friendships with kind and thoughtful people. Good grief...one of them even sent me chocolate!
