IC422 - Nighty Night {01/04/14}

I don't know about you, but after a busy holiday season and right after family gets back on the plane, all I want to do is SLEEP! I truly love my sleep time, especially catch-up sleep. I usually make a big deal of it by setting up my bedroom with new sheets, aromatherapy, and cuddling into my favorite pajamas. Wait, before you run off to take a well-deserved nap, join me this week for some inspiring lounge and sleepwear! I have created my own Pinterest board for this purpose, and filled it with luscious garments that should inspire you in many styles; elegant, vintage, modern, and even funky- LOL.

Challenge Goals:
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. :cool: Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today .

Since I don't have a guest hostess this week, I'm starting you off with two inspiration cards rather than one!

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.

How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!

I was inspired by the Royal Paisley Cotton Pajama set with its blue green intricate pattern. I used my new Verve stamp set, Learning to Sail, and added fabric sails. The background is meant to resemble a stormy, windy day with application of my Dot Swirls ef. Here's Sail My Ship

Love the paisley pant, so I pulled out a paisley DP. Not sure I like the results - I really prefer simplicity, hence my aversion to patterned papers. I'm feeling less and less sure about my goal to use my DP's this year - it just might be too stressful. Here is my Paisley card

I loved the Charter Club Holiday Lane Flannel set and used SU's Take A Sip to accompany my homemaker with dishes. Added an apron to mimic the flannel print (substituted an gingham print). Done in honor of my college age kids and the homemaker duties I did with love Here's Christmas Break Duties
