Be on the lookout for samples as soon as today! We could order yesterday and earn SAB items so things should be posting soon....especially those who could next or two day air! Sadly, I'm no longer able to do that, drat!!!!
I have tried to find some samples, but haven't had any luck yet!
First orders were Monday.
So only those who expedited their order would have had it yesterday. You might start seeing samples today.
Although probably more from the Occasions catalogue than SAB, since SAB doesn't start til later.
(And a lot of SU demos are ow busy creating their own Christmas cards to send! - as I add myself to that list!)

Whoops, I think I was a day ahead although some of the Artisan winners should have stuff early too! But each day there should me more and more stuff coming out!
Lots of kits and bundles this time, but the layout is a lot better than last year! Will wait for the hard copy to see what the DSP really looks like. I like the banner stamp set but I can cut out the shapes by hand.Of course, banner shapes will be out eventually since they're everywhere now.

The bundles aren't the free product, though. It's a 20 page flyer, and less than HALF of those pages (only 7) show the SAB product. They're not even the first or last 7: they're right in the middle (pages 11-17). What an annoying setup.
Thanks for the heads up, I need to study the layout much more carefully! I thought there were more pages than usual for a SAB flyer. Looks like they made the bundles over $50 to enable customers to reach that limit more easily.

Yes they did! That is one of the things that demonstrators get asked for the most; it really helps newer stampers figure out how to get the free stuff!

Because adding to $50 was too hard? ;)
Just teasing-- I am guessing they want to know what goes together.
I just hate the new format of all their catalogs with all the ideas in the front and the product in the back. Or, in the case of the SAB stuff, buried in the middle.

I could cut your brochure up and re-arrange it into a more logical order for you! It'll be like scrapbooking only it's making my own catalog! :p ;)
Not many stamp sets and I don't like the few there are. I'm disappointed with the offerings. And what's with that font all through the catalog? It's seems so juvenile to me.

I have to say I think this may be the first time I like ALL of the SAB offerings. I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted with my order. I'm hoping to have some samples to post within the next few days. Maybe some things will catch your eye then....that's what always seems to happen to me wether I want or not, lol! I think the layout is better than last years catalog though!
And as far as the fonts that kind of thing is really "in" right now. Personally I like it and I LOVE different fonts but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea! But it is pretty on trend!

Well, now you have a project for when we go to A's!
Or, I could just chop the thing in half: one idea book, one catalog!
To be fair to SU, since I like to complain a lot, I'll add here that despite the off-putting layout, I actually like several of the SAB rewards and many of the things in the Occasions Mini and I am looking forward to SAB.
I did, however, want to take a red pen to Shelli's letter (I think it's in the mini) and change up her punctuation. ;)

I'm not crazy about the layout either. I take a post it and stick it as a bookmark on the first product page so I don't have to hunt each time.
Did I see it right...no stamp sets for sale? Just Bundles, and So much free stuff?
I don't think the SAB flyer usually is about sale merchandise-- it's about your rewards, isn't it? Are you looking for the occasions mini? That's the next "catalog" proper that is slated for release.

They have bundles just showing ideas of what would make a 50 dollar purchase. You can buy anything you want but those are just suggested bundles that coordinate with the freebies. But for every $50 you spend you get a free SAB item.
For the first time since I started stamping I've found nothing I want. Sad!
Same here. This is, IMO, the absolute worst sale-a-bration flyer ever. Not just the layout, but the product. I did not see a single item that would induce me to spend my money. :?

I'm hopeful when I start seeing samples and have the actual catalogue in hand there's something I want since I have a credit with SU that needs to be spent!

Yes, I hope you can find some things!!! I ALWAYS seem to have the opposite problem no matter how much I seem to dislike things at first, lol! Maybe I'm just a sucker! ;-)
I wish I had time to sit down and play with my things but lately it's just one thing after another and I haven't had time to play :( My stuff is sitting in the closet in a box right now because we are having a realtor open house today which I know we need to have but I want to stamp dangit!!!! And then I'm going to spend the night and bake cookies with my mom so no stamping there! Booooo! But who wants some cookies? She has no idea what she's in for since she asked me....I have found so many ideas on Pinterest!
I hope everyone can find something they like! I think it's a bit slow on the samples right now due to the holidays. And I have to say I wasn't sure about the flyer when I saw the PDF but I think the fold out thing is kind of cool. It's kind of how they grouped the free stuff. It's way better than the pretty but WAY crazy and busy flyer last year I think! And seeing it in person is making me like more stuff of course....sigh :-) See....sucker!!!!

I do hope we can change your mind with some samples!!!! I do have to say while I do like some of the stuff this is probably the most I haven't been immediately drawn to in a while. I do like that it's not just stamps any more though. It's never fun if you don't like the FREE stuff!
What were you hoping to see? I always like to hear what people would like!
To be honest, none of the stamp sets appeal to me at all. I do like the paper, and the punch; the embossing folder I have one or two that are pretty similar, but might decide I want this one, too. I am bummed that they don't have any items from the big catalog that you can choose as free items, though - like they've had the past couple of years.
My thinking is, if I have things I want to order anyway, I might as well order them at SAB time and get freebies. Even if the freebies don't make me scream "I must place an order to get this!"

I see the tiny writing now...I have to look in the big catalog for prices on old stuff and another mini catalog for new stuff. Does anyone have a link to see the Occasions Mini?
Thanks
