 OMG!! Just poking around on eBay and saw the SU Endless Wishes set for $95 and for $52! Unbelievable- I was not too excited about that set when SU first released it but changed my mind and it was too late- all sold out. Guess Santa won't be coming down the chimney with that one.. ;)
I ordered this set when it first came out, and not from being brilliantly prepared...it happened to come out the day I ordered....AND for once, I looked at new releases BEFORE I hit submit!!! LOL!! I didn't realize that all the photopolymer stamps were while supplies lasted since SU doesn't make these themselves at the current time. I was shocked how fast this set sold out. Ebay prices are crazy. Who would pay that much for a stamp???!!!! I am hoping with the big response these are getting, SU will start to carry more of them and also maybe, fingers cross, make them a permanent line in the catalog!

I did not know this either. From a Demo standpoint, do you market them actively? I mean, knowing that when your customers go to make their purchase that it might not be available? I can't imagine "Hey, here is this super cute set, they don't make these stamps themselves so there might not be any more available for you but I just had to show you this cute stuff that you won't be able to do! " haha, just does not make much sense to me.

I would have liked to get this set but I had lots of other things going on and didn't want to make a purchase then. I agree that I hope SU starts making their own clear stamps in the future. I wondered why the set was available for such a short time.
Haven't gotten into the digital stamps, I like the tactile feel of the real thing.

I'm only a hobby demo myself, but there has been a lot of discussion about this on the demo side of the forums. It's a real dilemma.
I'm confused by this. When I first saw the Endless Wishes set, I thought that it's nice but it's similar to other sets out there (by other companies).
Then it sold out.
What am I missing? I'm just confused because it's nothing special, that I can see.
I think some of it is that, while similar to sets from other companies, it's different for SU, and it was a big hit with SU folks. The photopolymer sets are made in limited quantities so, being really popular, it sold out. Then, having sold out created a buzz and made it a must-have that people started going crazy over - kind of like Beanie Babies once upon a time.

.
Lead the way!! I would love to see the other sets like this one; I am one of the ones who was too late and would love to find something similar if I could. Thanks in advance!!!

I had no idea that the photopolymer sets were a limited release. Good to know for future reference. I planned to get Endless Wishes when I placed my next order, but obviously waited too long because I missed out. It's a cute set and I like the sentiments, but it's not worth that kind of money to me.

My guess is that it's just kind of a trial. I think SU is trying to see how the sales go before they invest fully in the stuff they need to make them themselves. Being a zero debt company they are pretty careful when it comes to purchases I would imagine. My guess is that if these do well they will in fact make them, I hope anyway! They seem to be popular! There are a few that are sold out! But yeah, it was a bummer. I'm still using it just because I LOVE it but I don't have many customers or do big business either :-)
Maybe they'll offer a new set or 2 in the next main catalog in all 3 types-wood, clear-mount and clear. Then they could compare sales of each type. The clear sets offered so far have seemed different than their usual style-at least to me.
Is this like Cabbage patch dolls? When you can't get a set everyone goes crazy? The one good thing is that SU is coming up with new product all the time. Next month it will be something else. It teaches a person to act quickly or go without. Trust me we all have plenty but we have this desire for more. There lies the fun.

I had to look it up (haven't been a demo for a few years). I agree that it is nice, but not anything I'd rush to get. In fact, I'm not even grieving over it. ;-) I just saw 3 sets for $65 or more. Yikes. I could get a LOT of other product with that kind of money!

Just bringing this thread back because I read on a blog just now that Endless Wishes is making a reappearance in the 2014 Holiday catalog!! So, if anyone was thinking of tracking this down and paying way to much for it, you might want to hold off just a little while longer!!

Another item to my growing holiday catalog wish list and I won't even get a copy of the catalog until next month! But it's great that they are offering this set again, must have been a huge seller.

SU Endless Wishes is in the New Holiday Catalog that is coming out @ the end of August. So you'll be able to purchase it for regular price. Instead of buying from a Price Hiking!
